I'd have to agree with you, after having a CFL grow, HPS is a completely different experience. It's such a nice feeling when you look at your 5 week pictures, and then look at your 8 week photos, only to realize that your 8-9 week CFL grow looked like week 5 under HPS!

I haven't tried that method, to be honest. I've tried cutting, dipping, then placing in a cup of dirt, as well as a few other soil mediums. Tbh, the rockwool method is the only way that yields results for me. I blame this moist NW air.

I get that, you run with a lot more equipment then we do, which raises the cost quite a bit. I figured we're only paying $14 per month extra then we were paying before when we using only CFL. I'm sure that chiller, the AC, and the other doo-dads make it pretty expensive.
