going from harvest... back to veg?

Since you cloned it, it really isn’t worth the effort. With that said, I’d cut the main stalk down to first and second lowest viable branches. Then I’d pull the plant from the pot, remove about 75 percent of the root ball, and transplant into new soil. That might be worth...

    Light Leaks

Don’t bash me but, I’ve been growing for three years now and never had a hermaphrodite. If light leaks were the common cause, I’d own a seed bank right now. There are LED’s in my flower room; I’ve screwed up the timers many times, I’ve left the door open...

    kinda confused...

I use 3 and 5 gallon “plant warrior pots” that are designed to expose as much air to the roots as possible. I’ve grown 7 foot plants in 3 gallon pots with tons of roots protruding from the bottom cone. If the roots dry out, that plant just grows new roots – never...

Twice Now My Plants Turned Blue

Well, not blue but a faint turquoise color. This is my second harvest of (White Label) white widow. And both times after cutting and drying they turn a strange ugly color. I have also grown sour cream and blue widow alongside, and they both turned out okay. The only difference in the last two...

    New Grower; Needs Advice, Please.

    1) You’ll need to buy grow big for growing, tiger bloom’s for flowering. 2) Dump the cfl’s and use mh’s for growing: cfl’s do well for stunting the growth of a mother plant. 3) 30 plants and one 1000 watt system, I think you’ll need about 4 more.

    New 400W HPS!

Welldiced : “Proof or experience” – Both. I used sledgehammer last spring and it basically ruined my plants. I googled “Sledgehammer” and found I wasn’t the only one who had a bad experience. There should be a warning label that reads: “You must...

    Need help with FOX FARM

When I germinate seeds I use dixie cups, promix, and a few pinches of Azomite. I don’t fertilize until I get about 5 paired nodes and then I use big bloom. No big grow until transplanted into 3 or 5 gallon pots – unless something went wrong.

    New 400W HPS!

Don’t use sledgehammer, there’s a good chance it will screw-up your plants permanently.

    Need help with FOX FARM

You’re from Canada: buy promix bx, basically the same thing. Go to the fox farm website and download their fertilizer chart and print it. It’s a good outline for using both their liquid and dry fertilizers.

    Flowering Using only Metal Halide

I may try it on my fall / winter grow. I have 3 600 watt fixtures and a 90 watt LED. I’ll just use 2 600 m/h’s with the LED in the middle. That may be cheating, but it’s enough for 6 plants.

    Flowering Using only Metal Halide

Thanks kmksrh21: I posted too hastily. I know about light spectrums and kevin temps. I just want to know if someone’s done it and what the results were.

    Flowering Using only Metal Halide

For this summer’s grow I used metal halide for vegging and hps for flowering; whereas on all my previous grows I used hps for both vegging and flowering. My plants grew much faster and fuller using m/h during vegging. What would be the disadvantage to flowering using m/h? I also find it much...

    Help, Leaves dying

I think we’re no all on the same page here: are you saying that a plant should retain all its leaves right up and until harvesting. And does that include all the paired node leaves and all the first alternating node fan leaves. I’ve never seen that.

    What do think it is?

I don’t think it’s heat stress and not burn; it’s winter and I wish I had a warmer flower room. Plus the spotting extends further down the plant. But that was my first guess.

    What do think it is?

I’d like to know too. 2 of my nine clones have the same symptoms although they’re 6 weeks into flowering not 3 weeks. The only thing I know is what I did differently with these 2 plants. Because my previous flowering ran long, I didn’t have enough pots for all my clones. So I...

Help Me: Male or Female??! 6 days since changing light cycle to 12 and 12

I’m certain about 2 and 3, but I would be 100% certain about 1 if I could see higher up on the plant. The very top and the first node below is where the male shows himself first.

First time grow - pictures, will update, suggestions please! closet trash can

Not with any intention of being a jerk but, you’re going to burn the house down. Too many connections, too much plastic and all surrounded by electricity and water – God help you.

    100,000 lux too much?

One of my plants is 5 inches below, and offset by about 4 inches beneath a 600w hps. I also have an oscillating fan aimed up at the lights. The plant doesn’t seem to mind being that close and continues to grow about an inch a day. I have maybe one foot of ceiling space left, and then...
