True leaves in 2 days seems normal enough. My seedlings true leaves appeared 2 days after they sprouted and I grew them in small black starter pots. I'm not even sure if the roots even respond to the different spectrums of light.

Maybe you could just cap the wound with some wax? Never tried it though, just a suggestion.

They'll dissolve in the area that you spray but as long as you don't soak the buds (to where they drip alcohol), the dissolved trichs should just stay in the bud after the ISO evaporates, not really affecting the thc content.
