HELP! Jack Herer in Week 9 of Flowering Turning Yellow

Glad I could wow you all! Seriously, though, thanks for all of the advice. I pushed the nutes and now I'm seeing the consequences. Let's just say I've learned my lesson and will keep the ppm in a much power range (<1000ppm) for the entire grow. jondamon, or anyone for that matter, what would...

HELP! Jack Herer in Week 9 of Flowering Turning Yellow

No offense taken! I'm trying to learn here. I'll definitely play it more conservative next time around.

HELP! Jack Herer in Week 9 of Flowering Turning Yellow

Thanks for that honest, yet hostile, response, jondamon. I am familiar with hydro, but am far from an expert. The pH has been a consistent ~6.0 the entire time, which is optimal for nutrient uptake. Sorry for not mentioning it before. The big issue is I was seeing how far I could push these...

HELP! Jack Herer in Week 9 of Flowering Turning Yellow

Hello everyone, First a little background... This is my 2nd hydro grow and things were going very smoothly up until a few weeks ago. I have 1 Jack Herer and 1 LSD in Week 9 of flowering. My setup is a circulating hydro drip system, been using General Hydroponics Flora Series nutrients (and did...

    Some sort of stress?

So, I figure that I'll continue posting pictures and updates using this thread for now. Both plants seem to be improving. The first 2 pics are from the bigger plant "Mary". Outside still looks dismal, but there is an abundance of new healthy green growth starting at various nodes...

    Some sort of stress?

Here are pics taken this morning. It's hard to see any improvement on "Mary", but the leaves on "Mary2" have straightened out. Does anyone notice how the leaves are kinda folded or cupped on "Mary2"? I've read that this is a sign of thirst. It hasn't had any water since 2/28. I don't think...

    Some sort of stress?

Hey smppro, could you explain why you think they are starving and need more nutrients? I ask because the soil retains a lot of water, so I think this may be a case of nutrient lock from drowning the roots, rather than lack of nutrients. I say this because adding nutrients has not yet ended...

    Some sort of stress?

Morning bump. Anyone have any input on what to do about a red/purple stem? Also, how much should I be watering these plants? Also, does using water pHed to 6.5 make the soil pH 6.5 over time? Thanks! :)

    Some sort of stress?

One more thought. For both of these plants, I fed them some light nutes after seeing the stem change from green to red/purple (happened at different times), because I learned that such a stem color indicated deficiency. In fact, that's what started the downhill for both of these plants --> my...

    Some sort of stress?

First, thanks for the quick replies! I really appreciate it! :) There are a few things I wanted to ask about: -I am worried that my medium (MG Organic) retains too much water. I didn't add any perlite (didn't really know what perlite was when I started), and the dirt seems to clump easily...

    Some sort of stress?

Hi everyone, I'm just over a month into my first grow. I have 2 plants, with one being 2 weeks older than the other. Some specs... ->LIGHTS -- 65W CFL full spectrum, 42W CFL 2700K, 26W CFL full spectrum (all ~6-8 inches away) -> CYCLE - 20/4 ->TEMP -- Usually 75-80 (although when the house...

Leaf Tips Dying - pH too high?

Hi, I am on my first grow and need some help diagnosing what is happening to my plant. I first noticed the problem about a week ago. INFO The plant is 3-4 weeks old (can't say 100% because I received this one as a seedling). I am watering every two days. I fed it a very diluted fert...

Leaves showing yellow tips and yellow tint

So I am going to continue posting on this thread while my problem persists. That doesn't mean it isn't getting better or I don't really appreciate the advice of everyone who has shared his/her opinion. I don't want anyone who has posted to take offense - you guys know a lot more about this...

But it does look like it's yellowing in between the veins. Have a look. This picture was taken this morning.

Leaves showing yellow tips and yellow tint

It really looks like N deficiency to me! My friend who is also growing directed me to this link. It looks almost exactly like my plant, which is at odds with the people who think it's fertilizer burn...

Leaves showing yellow tips and yellow tint

The problem seems to be a little more pronounced this morning. I'm still thinking potassium deficiency, but I do not know for sure. I would really appreciate any educated eyes to help me identify what is happening. I have attached an updated picture of the same upper leaf from yesterday, and...

Leaves showing yellow tips and yellow tint

The more reading I do, the more I think this is the marking of a potassium deficiency. Since foliage feeding the epsom salt should limit any undesired consequences in the soil, I will also slightly increase the nute dosage (24-8-16) to 1/4 teaspoon for 2 liters of water. I was previously using...
