Well yes, they do have 1000 watt mh bulbs just make sure you purchase a mh/hps switchable ballast, and you should be fine a 1k light covers 4x4 perfectly, even 5x5 if you set them up right you should be just fine, just make sure you pick a good strain to meet your height, or yield requirements...

Sounds like your light is too far up from the plants, and they keep reaching for light, try lowering the lights as low as you can to the plants without feeling too much heat on your hand so you dont burn the leaves, a pic can help too....

I was just going to say that, I got my clones in rockwool cubes and as soon as I see root activity coming out, I throw it in the 12/12, because during flowering it will definite expand in size a lot to make way for those nice heavy buds, good luck!
