    600W vs 1000W vs 1500W

Great input. If you have the ability to create an above standard environment using Co2 and premium nutes/grow medium, I wouldn't use a lighting set up that's not at the same standard. I feel the using cfl's vs. HID is sub par the the higher standard established with the Co2/grow mediums. If you...

    600W vs 1000W vs 1500W

I would go with 4-400w lights for the flower and 1-400w for the veg room sizes listed above. If your getting lights for free, spend the money you saved on a water chiller/ice box set up. you could run both rooms off one 1/4 hp chiller, 6 ice boxes, and a easy to build manifold. That'll allow you...

1000W in the closet?? venting help!! Diagram w/ pics!!!

If you have that big of a fan it's fine to have a 8" to 6" reducer. I would throw a filter furnace style filter on the inlet vent just to reduce the dust going in. It'll get built up in the light if your sucking a lot of air through it. I highly recommend adding a charcoal prefilter to the...

1000W in the closet?? venting help!! Diagram w/ pics!!!

For a 1M watt light I would go with a 6" filter/fan combo like this (http://www.4hydroponics.com/growroom/air2.asp?ItemNo=can-fan-combo). Just get some ducting and run it between the filter=sealed light===fan=vent. Don't use any reducers or your just throwing away CFM. If you use a quality fan...

1000W in the closet?? venting help!! Diagram w/ pics!!!

Scratch the tubing from the door intake vent to the light. Put a charcoal filter in front of the light, and use the fan to suck through it. charcoal filter>light>duct>exhaust>. You can put a speedster controller on the fan to adjust heat if the room stars to run to cold. The vent in the door...

White stuff on top of rock wool other then mold!!

Nutrients are mostly made up of various types of salt....If you're running hydro, a little bit of salty residue will be left behind each time it floods. If you don't rinse it off every once and a while it'll build up over time. I've had it happen with hydroton, but have switched to Sun Leaves...

    Mmmj forms

The SS# on the caregiver form is supposed to be your caregivers. I checked the, "By checking this box.....". It allows the police to verify that the card is in fact yours. Without a picture on the card itself, there's little or no way for the police to verify that the card is yours. I don't have...

    Exhausting light have smell?

I removed the glass and put the thinnest weather stripping I could find at Lowes around the edge of the glass. There was already a strip on the metal hood, but the second layer really put a good seal on it. After that, no more stinkin' through the hood.

    Controlling fan speed?

I use a Speed Master that I picked up from the local gardening store. There are two different methods to control the fan speed. 1 will f*** up your fans, and 1 won't. I made sure that this one wouldn't. -ZOO
