tea question/will my numbers be too high?

I am making 2 separate teas fr my plants, a high N one for veg (Mexican bat) and a high P one for flower (Indonesian bat). I am using 2 tbsp/gal ...now my question is: 1. Can I also use blood meal for the veg tea / bone meal for the flower tea along with the guanos? If so, how much do I use per...

    Subcool's Super Soil

hey there, I was wondering if someone experienced with super soil could help me out (perhaps even the man himself? ) Anyway, I made up a 1/2 size batch of the super soil and put it into 30 gal rubbermaid containers, snapped the cover shut. This was about a week ago. Today I open it up...

    male plant growing female flowers!

wow thank you for the information! I pollinated a few plants with this male's pollen, but also wanted to see what would happen if I let it pollinate itself as I do not have any females of this particular strain, but am interested in the genetics of this plant. It is a beautiful and vigorous...

    male plant growing female flowers!

I would like to point out that this plant is NOT normally hermaphroditic, it only hermied due to the stress of supercropping. This plant is normally male and grows normal male flowers.

    male plant growing female flowers!

I purposely seeded this male with its own pollen to see what the seeds would be like. I am wondering if the seeds are more likely to be male due to the plant itself being male. This male hermied only after stress, it wasn't originally hermaphroditic.

    male plant growing female flowers!

This male Sagarmatha plant was kept for breeding. After some stress to its stem it started producing female flowers. I decided to self-polinate it and am eagerly awaiting the results. :leaf::leaf::leaf: Has anyone here done this before btw? Check out the attached pic.

wild pot growing on a NYC sidewalk!!

I double-checked today. As g33k said above, there's no sign of the plant. To be fair though, there's a set of basketball courts with a bunch of people hanging out on that block, so I'm not too surprised that someone took notice.

    anti-budding plant.

now that I've zoomed in on your first photo, I'd say it's definitely male. Are all the photos of the same plant? Because I can't tell 100% what's going on in the last 3 photos, but if they're all the same plant, then get that thing out of your grow room quick -- unless you want some seeds.

    plants not showing sex

does anyone know, by the way, why some plants will take 3 weeks to show sex, while others will take under a week? is it purely genetic? I had plants showing sex after about 5 days the last grow, and the environment they were in was far more crappy (hotter, with minimal air circulation.)

    anti-budding plant.

hey there, I just saw your thread from you posting on my thread about a very similar issue. If I figure out some way of resolving this issue very soon, I will definitely let you know. If you find out any info on how to get the plants to show sex, please let me know. I've been at 12/12 for 2...

    plants not showing sex

3 weeks? really?? I really hope I should see some distinctive flowering by then...has anyone heard of plants not flowering after 3 weeks? And if so, can anything help the process along? I'm not at 3 weeks yet, but I'll be at the 2 week mark tomorrow. I definitely don't have any light leaks...

    plants not showing sex

I placed some plants into my flowering room (12/12 light cycle) exactly 13 days ago. They were all nice healthy 4 week old plants with preflowers. First I thought they're not showing sex due to light leaks, but upon further inspection, I am 100% sure this is definitely not the case. Maybe...

    NY to legalize.

the medical marijuana bill was introduced in NY in both the senate and the assembly simultaneously. I honestly wish I knew what happened with both bills as I haven't heard anything about the issue since about mid-June.

wild pot growing on a NYC sidewalk!!

the hydroponics shop is 10 blocks away. coincidence?? seriously though, I wish I saw this thread earlier today because I was only a few blocks east of there. I go to that general area at least once a week, so if no one updates on this plant I will within the week. weed growing from the...

    when will she get better

it depends on the severity of the deficiency. I've had nitrogen deficient plants before (lower fan leaves yellowing) and it started looking better in a few days after feeding if the leaves were somewhat yellow -- as in at least still 50% green. Leaves that are completely yellow most likely...

    Don't be like this guy

christ those hazmat suits were a tad excessive! although I'm not surprised...I lived not too far from bucks county a few years back and the law enforcement there always did seem to either be a bunch of nazis or to just have their heads up their asses.

    ph and nutrient acidity???

Yeah I've been to keep the ph of the soil between 6.3 and 6.8, and I've been worried about the nutrient uptake problems you've mentioned because a couple of my plants have started looking a bit frazzled, and I was thinking that there was just no way they're deficient, it's gotta be that the soil...

    ph and nutrient acidity???

very useful info!! thank you. +rep I figured the ph of the nutes would drop, I am just surprised by how much ph up I have to add (particularly to the floranova.) I thought 10ml/gal was quite a bit, but apparently you seem to have had to add that much too. That makes me feel a bit better, I...

    Having PH problems with soil

how large was the container you were growing in? did the plants look all big, healthy, and bushy taking up the entire container above the soil, but then seemed to not have enough roots when you checked out the soil itself after harvest? do you know what the ph of the runoff was after you'd water?
