  • sry for late reply information will still be good as you are at the same stage i am in my grow room
-trimm your fan leaves that block light before flowering around 3- 4 weeks in to floweringcut off lower branches that dont seem to be producing anything but small popcorn buds post pics if you have questions about trimming
this post is way too long so read from my bottom post up

-as far as adding more nutrients there is a three step secondary nute system your supposed to use with the three part nutrient system their called open seasame, beastie bloomz, and cha ching ($5 a small bag at the hydro store near me) and you only use a quater teaspoon at first and can slightly upgrade a quarter tsp at a time after bout 5 days to a week(i go a quater tsp every 3 days till i hit 1 tsp. then i would recommend, actually I insist you go online and find foxfarms hydro or soil feeding schedule (depending on what your doing) and it will tell you the exact schedule of how you use all of your nutrients everyone who grows foxfarm needs to know it
    ---tsp=teaspoon

if you have any more questions or start to get a deficiency post a pic and we'll go through it
-the other thing that tends to happens is random defficiency's might happen during flowering some people say they're almost common. for instance foxfarm doesnt have very much magnesium or calcium in their products so i add them in with the "hydroponix basic bloom and grow" which takes care of all the little additives plants need like magneseium, sulfur, boron, iron that sort of things. alot of people also get phosphorus deficiency in then latter days(ending) of flowering stage but foxfarm doesnt tend to let that happen in my experience.

    - anytime you have a deficiency post a pic here.
-Thas great! all of your hard work is about to pay off! as far as for how long you should let them grow, you should know that most sativas don't have a set flowering time and in general i dont put a time on my plants but for hydro they come out to about 8 weeks and soil 10 weeks indicas usually always finish in that time zone maybe even sooner, but use the method below to check.

-the way you can tell when each plant is genetically ready for harvest is by getting a 30x magnifier and around the end of your flowering cycle(close to harvest) and check the trichomes throughout the plant. if 40-50% of the trichomes are an amberish color, yes like tree sap almost, then that plant is ready, i go throughout each plant and harvest invidivually, also know that flowering plants grow about 40% taller during flowering so if you grow with hid watch how tall they get and adjust the light accordingly as to not burn the top/most potent part of the plant!
