Her fault she was gullible enough to believe that, she's from India too, suppose to be smarter than that, she was an illegal, taxes couldn't possibly count.

Oh great this thread has progressed to hypothetical situations and illegal immigrants. Well since reality doesn't mean much around chesus I assume it was alien brain waves that kept them from seeking employment elsewhere or it could be as simple as not having a us visa.

Maybe she was told she would be killed if she left
BWAAHAHAHA!!

I can see it now, a reality tv show based around rich people who hire maids and then threaten to KILL THEM if they leave, since I'm sure this one is just one of thousands who has their life threatened daily because she didn't get the damn dishes done.

We'll call it....."Maria"

When I was a new Marine in the service I worked 18 hour days and got paid $286 every 2 weeks. 18*7*2 = 265 hours. I was getting paid $.88 an hour.

Go suck on it you dimwit dookie.

What expenses does a live in nanny have? Do the employers force her to pay rent and buy her own food?

When I was a traveling therapist my rent was covered everywhere I went. The catch was, that if I lived in the same state more than 10 months out of that year my rent would have been considered income instead of traveling expenses and taxed as a bonus instead of an expense.

A 5th avenue room and board stipend has to be worth 6 figures. Technically the IRS could rape this woman. If the IRS were to fill out her tax form for her, her wage would not look like a buck an hour, it would look like she's part of the evil rich. If her room and board was worth say 10K a month and the family wasn't charging her they could technically take this lost revenue from the room as a write-off. That's how messed up our tax code is.

All that aside, it's still disgusting people think this is cool. The family basically treated this nanny like a sub-human.

lol Harrekin.

Yes, it's also true, she accepted this wage and there are definitely people who would do it for free just for the chance to live in a 5th avenue penthouse. I'm not outraged or anything, I just think it's cheesy and cheap of them.

Try reading the OP she didn't agree to what she was paid. The employer failed to pay her 10s of thousands of dollars

When you were in the marines they provided you with food, lodging, clothing etc. Once you signed up, the USMC did not say "oh btw now we are going to pay you a fraction of what we agreed on earlier, and if you do not like it we will have the government send you to jail", or did they? If so, PM me, I have a lawyer friend who would love to help you receive what is rightfully yours.

You think she just agreed to work for them without knowing any of the particulars? We call people who are that stupid either Dookie or Chesus, take your pick.

I was in the Navy they paid me when we work 18 hours a day and they paid me when we do not do nothing
LOL no one in the Navy works 18 hour days, who are you trying to Bullshit? I spent years at sea, I know more about the Navy than you do, you didn't even make petty officer I bet.

They told the Indian gal they weren't going to pay her and were going to jail her if she tried to leave? Really? Can you prove that you didn't just make that up? I see nothing in the OP to indicate that is what happened.

Perhaps you took Chesus word for it? You do know that chesus doesn't have the intelligence of an Amoeba right?

Well if she was so happy with the agreement
Why did they have to come and rescue her?
