when i was in undergrad, we had to take part in two studies to get our psych credit.
the second one i took part in was as follows: a couple of standard personality evaluation questionnaires, then some specific questions relating to feelings of nationalism, and then a full fucking page of ridiculous 'what if' type of questions that make you imagine the mortality of your family. kinda like the one you just asked, but actually plausible.
'how would you feel if your family died in a car crash and you survived?'
after that, they re-did the same basic personality evals and nationalism questions. it was revealed at the end of the study )since it involved mild deception) that the experiment was done to measure the effect of imagining mortality on feelings of nationalism, and how nationalism spikes massively after imagining their mortality.
so excuse me if i just sit here and laugh at the prospect of muslims killing jews in denver, sky-bird.
