What's For Dinner Tonight?

I'm just out of a job in a great (in terms of management) kitchen, but alas the food was in my opinion, shit. Gonna be moving to the big smoke in 10 days time for a minimum of 3 years and found a flat way under my proposed budget so I'm really looking forward to getting out there and seeing what the big city boys are doing with their food. Only ever worked in countryside locations where there's not a shop or cafe within 5 miles, so there was never the customer base to allow drastic experimentation. I frigging hate London, but I'll put up with it for the food scene.

Not dinner, but lunch. Tuna fish sandwich. Albacore with mayo, stone ground mustard, salt, pepper, diced celery. Sliced cucumber, swiss cheese and lettuce. Forgot the friggin' sliced Clausen pickle. And chips. I can't eat a sandwich without some sort of chip to go with it.

Home made chicken noodle soup.

I wring out the cheesecloth after filtering out the oil/butter when making liquids (I usually do 2-3 oz product at a time), then I freeze the cheesecloth (with the product still soaked with some oil) in a ziploc bag in the freezer. I usually put one or two of these cheesecloth bags as stuffing into the chicken prior to cooking.

Makes the chicken taste great, and the soup made afterwards is infused, slightly, but enough for a nice relaxing evening.

Pulled the trigger on a bottle of Crown Royal - Extra Rare Blue.

Sonofabitch cost me $200, but it is my birthday coming up... so FUCK IT! :D

The taste is absolutely INCREDIBLE.

Smells like Oak and vanilla, NO, as in ZERO, burn whatsoever. Can barely tell it's 80 proof....

Drank her on the rocks, just had a single glass. Gonna save this baby for special ocassions!

I love a nit of tarragon in my mash.

Moved into new flat on Tuesday. Cookers been broken for about a hear apparently, rogue landlord situation. So I've a Chinese cup noodle for dinner.

I actually really enjoyed Chef. But then I'm no cinemaphile, I can enjoy a lot of things. But I enjoyed it enough to have watched another 2 times.

Yummy looking stuff guys! I enjoy cooking myself, some because I enjoy it, but also because I'm a spoiled and fussy eater and can't afford to eat what I like most of the time, or it's crap. Anyway, hung some yogurt for tzatziki. I'll leave it overnight and blend the other ingredients tomorrow.
