You do make a valid point and I also agree with you about the time and mess. It is not necessarily a technique that I have adopted don't get me wrong.

Damn! 5 years!! Well that's encouraging news. Do you have a issue with the roots and such? Have you noticed any negative effects of recycling? The boiling hot water to kill any bad bacteria I assume.

So do you think all the extra roots are bad? Making the mix too dense??

So I recycled my promix on my last couple of grows because of $$ and after flushing the nutes are washed away. Anyway my question is does anybody else do this? For how long? I'm tossing all the old stuff after this next one comes down in a week or so and starting with fresh promix but was just...
