  • Dfxdig, take a piece of black garbage bag and take a similar pot that your plant is in and measure it and cut a square that covers the pot completely. cut a X in the center of the square big enough for your plant to fit in the center also making the soil not visible from the sun. take a crayola marker cut it in half n get a piece of tree bark that will go from the stem and roots of the plant to the boarder of the pot. streatch a hole in the inside rim of the pot for the crayola marker, like a water feeder. get a huge rubber band and rap it around the circumfriance taught so no weeds get sunlight. the weeds will still grow slowly but they will kill them sellfs from lack of sunlight. check on the weeds every week you will notice them dieing. pick them out with roots n they should never come back.

    Cannasapian. check out my pictures.
the sand thing didnt work that great although it did help. im finding now that when the soil dries it pulls away from my buckets and thats how there getting back into the soil. gonna try some of that filter material that landscapers use to keep the weeds down. matbe they cant get through that. ill let you know.
Hey mate I'll try to make this quick and to-the-point as it's 3:30am and I have to get some sleep before the 6 O'Clock wake-up. Anyways, I trim off the bottom two leaf sets to give some airflow and the stem growth on the other branches will increase, height and girth. I try to shoot for 3-4 sets of leaves to enter flowering to dedicate to budding to and I throw the plant into 12/12 right after my pruning essentially. I've found this the most effective time to make cuts and do pruning, trial and error, I will elaborate later for you :blsmoke:. I stop my Nitrogen rich feeding after my first week of 12/12 so the plant can get that last bit of additive Nitrogen before needing Phosphorus and Potassium dominence for the remainder of flowering. Just helps the plant regenerate and thrive after the cuts have been made so the transition into flowering is more fluent. Hope I wasn't too vague, I'll be in touch mate, happy growing
