another question that i can't seem to find an answer to. when i adjust my ph level in my water/nutrient mixture i'm at 6.5.... then i water my plants.... test the run off which is 6.5, but when i stick my meter in the soil the damn thing is 7.0.... what the hell???? do i water with ph 6.0 to...

i have a rapitest soil ph meter that i've been sticking in my water to check the pH before watering. somehow i think i'm way wrong for doing that. it does work when i use the ph up or ph down, but i wonder if anyone else uses soil ph meter's to test their water. if not, what do you use????

okay cool. yeah i have a rapitest ph meter and i was doing some test runs with my distilled water, tiger bloom, and molasses. i found that if add about a teaspoon of lemon juice to my gallon mixture it brings my ph down to 6.5.... sound about right???

Background: Nirvana Short Rider Fox Farm Ocean Forest 2 gallon pot 400w hps Distilled water now on my first grow (with cfl's), i never ph'd a thing cause i had no idea what i was doing. i had bad yellowing that spread throughout the plant, but she made it.... now i stepped up to 400w mh/hps...

sounds good... well, i might just leave the filter out of it and use the fan for cooling the bulb since i'm so early in veg... and then when she(s) start kickin' up the smell, i'll get a good inline...

so i have a 3 x 3ft x 78" grow tent with 400watt mh/hps setup... i'm only growing 1-2 plants and was wondering if a 240cfm duct fan would be sufficient to suck through carbon filter and pull over bulb (cooling it) and exhaust out.... i've always read about inline fans inline fans inline fans...

i don't have a scale yet, but i'll weigh as soon as she dries.... i'm hoping for 1/2 ounce...

after many posts/questions asked and answered. a minor set back with a light falling on plant during the beginning stage of flower and taking out several bud sites. and, a yellowing issue that i never could get under control due to the lack of experience and know how, SHE'S READY! Short...

update.... i pulled a small portion from the bud this evening to try it. it's only been drying for 2 days, but i couldn't stand it. sweet smell, sweet taste and no cough.... very smooth.... and heady high which is what i was looking for.... i am stoked!

i was running them at 24/0 for the first 3 weeks. no signs. so i moved them back to 18/6 for a week to see if that would give it some motivation. nothing. so, i then changed my lights out to flowering spectrum CFL's and switched to 12/12. after about 2 or maybe 3 days, at the very top node...
