yea its good to get as much info as you can before you buy it dont rush into i did and now im having problems you could do a few fluorescents and not raise the temps be sure to switch the spectrum later on when flowering plants like the blue light more for veg and orange light for flowering give them a boost just add a oscillating fan to keep the temps down and the air circulating your room should be in a good temp range

yeah thanks ok so on Texas hydro wed site on the bottom right it says light info good help sence i ant useing a hole room and only growing a few at a time maybe i dont need a 400watt they show how much light is needed for a approx area i might go wit a 150/175 or 250. thanks for the help they even talked about small spaces with high temps.

thats what im reading puttin a fan on it should lower the temps to mid 80's which could hold me out till i have enough money to get a active intake and exhaust set up as for the cfl's i have little experience with them and from what i read fluorescents they have to be close to the plants they also dont cause to much heat you can get a couple and hang them like a hps they have big bulbs for fluorescents check texas hydro website or brite ideas they have all kinds of things the problems with closed areas is they get hot quick mine is going to be in a corner of my room so its some what open im gonna use one of those metal shelf rack they sell at walmart they are pretty strong and could easily hold a lamp i had the same problem you have its a heat issue look around on some of these threads and they have tons of info on cooling and keeping temps down and everything worst case scenario you could add loads of co2 and your plants can live in the high 90s even 100s

<u><font color="black">1st grow room advice</font></u> in <u>newbie</u>... so all i need is to put a fan on it? let ask you this they say they can grow in the poorest of light so sence im going to spend up to 200$ on a 400watt what if i buy close to 10 maybe more if needed cfls? see cuz i cant cut a hole for fresh air or to let air out i do leave the door open when i am home but have a lock on the door for safty reasons but when im at work door is closed and locked. so maybe i will have to just go wit cfls the hole wat to try and keep temp and a reasonable temp... what do you think?<br>

i havent set it up yet im still under cfl's i need to get a rack to hang the lamp and i have a wall mount fan im probably gonna get another one for the plants and one pointed straight at the fan to bring the fan tamp down a bit and later one get a exhaust fan to keep the temp low to mid 70s hopefully and where did you have pics of your setup? i couldnt find them

Ok yeah heres the prob with that hopefully you can help me out... How do you keep it cool i am in a apartment i am doing them in my closet in my master Restroom enough room for a couple of plants and thats is honestly the only room i can do it in.. i was going to do CFL's but why when you cant get better results with a 400watt.. i guess if you type my name in you can see my setup...

looks like a nice choice when should you get your beans? how do you plan on keeping your 400w light cool? and what setup are you using cuz im under cfl's and have a 400watt ready but heating is a major issue now so i have to rethink my grow room

I got them from DopeSeeds.. Yeah i wont germinate till i get my 400watt light and organic soil ill get them by friday. i only got 5 FEM so i will only do 2 my 1st time hopefully they be done by my b-day my present to myself. Since there just for my personal use. Forsure ill keep you posted.

yea tons of info on there where did you order your snowryders? i was looking for them on the site where i got my seeds and what genetics they got? one thing though is make sure you are prepared before you start make sure you gave your gear ready or have a good basic idea of the stuff you need before you even germinate a seed and for sure ill update on my babies just keep checking that thread update me when you start your grow

its all good im still new here too umm texas hydroponics is a hydroponic store that has everything these guys talk about from intake fans to carbon scrubbers nutrients soil lights everything then theres gas pipe they have average supplies and the staff there isnt going to know much about the products and how it reacts to the plant like the guys at texas hydro im pretty sure they all grow weed from the conversations they have there plant k also has grow supplies and some things but a hydro store has absolutely everything just like in high times magazine this is my first grow and ive learned so much from this site alone to grow not to mention i had help from a friend that used to live and grow in cali but yea lots of stuff to learn

yo whats up yea i got mine from texas hydroponics on burnet road theres also brite ideas which is a shop on south congress ive only been to texas hydro got my soil and 400w hps there guys are pretty cool and helpful im using fox farms ocean forest and was 17.99 and was on sale im not sure if the price is still the same
