Back in Business - New White Widow started on July 9th - flipped her last night

If you want CFL's for spot lighting shadows out, then just go to lowes and get the light sockets that plug straight into an outlet for about $4-5...should work great!

First Hydro/Aeroponic Grow. Need Experienced Growers Suggestions!

At least 7-9 weeks. Most strains need a 12 week flower, sometimes longer depending on your nute load and light availability.

    Help!! Dying Plants

Looks like they are seriously starving and over watered.

    White Berry

Yes, they are expensive...no way around that. Some hydro stores sell used equipment slightly discounted. Otherwise go to eBay...what is the sqft of your area to grow in? That will determine your wattage requirements

    White Berry

Easy way to figure out veg time...take the total height the plant can actually get in your setup...let's say you have 3 feet for the plant to grow in without getting too close to lights and stuff. For indic a heavy strains divide this number by 2 (1.5 feet) and sativa heavy strains divide by 3...

    PPM on the RISE AGAIN!!

My ppm is between 2000-2300 during the 3rd week of veg...I think it all depends on what you are using...I use FF so a lot of the ppm comes from miconutrients not the big ones that usually do the burning.

    PPM on the RISE AGAIN!!

I agree with Moses....only top with plain water...add nutes back on a schedule...usually at Rez change.

    Aeroponics whats the best nutrients

This is just bad advice. Only 1 product in the fox farm lineup could clog a mister and that is big bloom, and it clearly says right on the package to filter it before using in hydro.after using FF for quite a while, I can say that not. Single spray head has ever been clogged. That being said...

PH in Rock Wool Won't Come Down?

Normally you don't have to be so diligent because in most hydro set ups the cube is constantly bathed in ph'd nute h2o and then we adjust the recirc rez every day or so until ph balances out. However, it looks like his plants are just top fed with no recirc, which means the ph is going to react...

PH in Rock Wool Won't Come Down?

No, nothing really hurts the rock wool. I've never really grown like you are right now, I usually just use a cube, and surround it with hydroton to improve the draining capabilities of the rock wool. Also if you don't cover the top of that rock wool you are going to have some serious algae problems.

PH in Rock Wool Won't Come Down?

Rock wool is limestone rock...lime has a very high ph. Most of us soak our rock wool for 12-24 hours in water ph'd down to about 3.5-4. By the time it is finished soaking it should be about leveled out around 5.5-6.0.

    Reverse Osmosis

350 ppm does not mean your water is bad...you should fill a bucket and retest, chances are that it will go down about 20-30 ppm over night. Also, pull a report for your water (all water companies must provide them), it may be the ppm is coming from things you are gonna need like mag, calcium...

What Do You Think? With A Couple Questions

Your ppm is probably causing the ph spike because it is so low. Say your ppm is 1500, ideally it should steadily drop to about 600-700 by the end of the week when you are ready for rez change/top off. I'm assuming your ppm is so low, and your plants are so large, that they are eating all...

Third week, still can't seem to add nutes?!

You may not be able to give a certain height, but you can damn sure bet that either cannabis species should be much larger and lush than the plants you see here. I mean, the whole point of hydro is to have explosive growth. And in hydro a timer isn't a suggestion, but rather a requirement...you...

Third week, still can't seem to add nutes?!

Feed your plants, they should already be over a foot tall at 3 weeks in hydro. Add about 200 ppm at a time and stop when the ppm levels off
