Did a bit of digging into the vf and A range of 'Bridgelux' 100W china COBs, definitely looks like 2 COBs per driver ran parallel
They must match the COBs really well to pull that off
Simply spectacular! How anyone can be a non-believer of quality LED after this run is beyond me.
I also concur with your visual examination; The LED nugs do appear to be slightly denser, darker, and frosty. This is to say the HPS buds are a bit more to the lime side, with a bit more air to...
I meant were you using your buds to do this, you know, since you have so many :D
*Imagines you scooping up buds from a huge bin using 5G buckets*
10 @ 1.4 would be overkill for sure. 5 would be enough IMO. You can always add more later. 1.4 is running them pretty hard though, cooling may be a problem in a small space like that. What is the vertical height?
If you have the coin, I'd definitely go for 10 of the veros and mix up a nice...
Do you have a link handy for the silicone glue? The ideal holders aren't in stock and the COBs are too thin for the TE holders without compression springs.
Thanks!
EDIT: Found it! http://rollitup.org/t/cree-cxa-analysis.743645/page-6#post-9905498
EDIT2: Do you think a ceramic COB could be...
Looks promising, even if it only does manage to do ~1.65 A (guessing). Hope all the money wasn't spent on the fancy case though, lol. Can't wait for your report, I may grab a couple of those if they work out for you.
Speaking of the 3070, does anyone have a source for more of the ideal holders? They seem to be out of stock and Newark is quoting 16 days delivery. Hmmm.
Girl, you'll be a woman... soon
I love COBs so much, can't count all the ways
Cree for my garden and all they can say is
"Where's the 1K?"
We'll show 'em all the light soon enough :hump:
~600 umol/m2/s is looking mighty good considering the reduced operating a build costs.
Now I just need to worry about dialing in my fan speed so I can sit right around 30 C in the tent ;)
Subbed up for this experiment.
