  • hygrozyme can be used for this, but its not as important vs hydroponics, in hydro your basically left unprotected unless you add something like this, in the organic soil your most likely going to have benficials in them already, if you make your own soil mix just add something like myccorhizal, most quality soil makers already have bennies in them like fox farms line of soil. now lets just say you have a soil that has plenty of bennies in, you can feed with mollasses, the sweet stuff helps feed these microbes, if you have root rot from poor drainage then i would suggest the use of hygrozyme. so a recap good soils with organics like guanos and castings have plenty of microbial activity with beneficial bacteria, this is your protection and also helps with transplant shock
i checked em this morning and there looking better, ill get a new pump today for the sprayers. i left it on 24/7 till i hear back from you. im kinda at a loss for what to do, i know flipping the timer back and forth is a no no but i didnt know what else to do. my co2 controller came so when i get my co2 refilled mon ill hook it up. like i said, they are looking better but they still look BAD, Im guessing they will pull tru but i dont have the space to veg anymore. looks like im in a bind mg!! im sure my next grow will go better. ill definatly build a better res. id build one now but transplanting at this point scares me. what should i do with these sick wilted girls bro?
mg i put pics up on my last post. the main stalks have fallen over, pretty sad lookin, i put them back on 24/7. do you think there savable?
mg i came home to a totally dry res, empty co2 tank and some fucked up girls, i put 5 gal of water in and my aero pump is toast, the roots are in the water now but i cant get a pump for my sprayers till sun or mon. ill post pics and so you can see the damage, my timer is sceduled to go off in 1 hr but should i leave it on so they drink more? im headin out to my garage to cheak on em and will post pics,
ok mg im hittin the road in a couple hrs, i double checked everything, i put 10 gal of 1/3 strength in the res with 8 ml per gal hygrozyme, i switched to 12/12, im back on the 18th ,wish me luck.
just figure they will be twice the size when finished, if they get too big you can pinch the stems and fold the tops down
thanks mg, im not sure which makes me more nervous, 24/7 and no timers or 12/12 with timers, i think im running out of room to veg longer, if i post a new pic tonight maybe you can tell me if i can wait or not, id let these chicks wait if you think i can. man i feel like a pest sometimes asking you every little question, bro youve been killer, big ups mg
good call, yes you should use a weaker solution, as you know they are drinking a considerable amount right now, when your ppm meter comes you will find out that the nutrient solution will get higher ppms based on the plants using water faster than nutrients, a very skilled grower named Earl on here told me that lower nute loads throughout the grow works very well, so i tried it and its fantastic, but to bridge the gap fill her as high as you can and give much les nutes, and in a week she should be looking good, maybe you should wait till you get back to flip the switch, i wouldnt be able to sleep at night thinking did i forget to plug something in or did i set the timer right, just try to make sure to button everything up, for my sake
its been using around 4 1/2 gal a week, i orderd a ppm/tds meter but it wont be here before i leave for AK, do they use more water when flower? im going to switch to 12/12 before i leave, should i use a really weak nute mix? im using a rubbermaid 18 gal for a res, how many gallons should i keep in the res?
have you timed how long a full rez will last before you go? to clean i run a high concentration of peroxide and run it through the system , though the sludge will sometimes stay, might have to run the hose under hot water. thank god the peroxide is cheap
hey morris do you use any filter on your chiller? ive got a little sludge sticking to the sides of my chiller hose, im going to get an extra res with air stones so i can switch quick and clean. what do you use to clean the chiller and hoses? my girls grew 2" in 24hr! im going to try to top one,fin one and leave a couple alone, the biggest is 18" so im going to flower any day now, i bought a c02 controler of e bay today! i wont get it till i get back frm AK on the 18th, man its hard leaving them for a week.
thats exactly what i used to do, put the lid between to chairs and let the roots hang, i have since got more tubs so i can make fast change outs, instead of painting your rez cus it may take time to dry, maybe get a roll of that sticky insulation, or if you do paint em, get another spare tub to put them in as the other dries, you can fim/top whenever you like, except when you are about to or after transplant and or flower, you dont want to have too much shock going on. maybe you can start topping now so when it comes time to flip the switch they will be recovered from the cut
happy 4th morris, im heading to AK for a week and wanted to clean and paint my res before i go, how long can i have the roots out of the res? Do i just prop my whole lid up between a couple chairs while i do the work? my girls are around 14"tall, and id like to flower at 18", when/if should i top/fim?
thanks morris, ive wanted to do this for alot of years bro, it sounds lame but hearing they look good from someone who know what the hell they're talking about is pretty awsome. i'm not looking to grow a shit load of smoke. i just want to grow really good smoke. your advice on the mechanical side has been a big help to me. thanks bro
morris im getting yellow leaf tips, i put a new post up today but Id really like to hear your opinion, i hope im not buggin you to much. i put the thread up today in the aero section, thanks again bro.
i forget, you in soil or hydro? whats the highest temps and what kind of reflector? air cooled? whats already in place? i.e. exhaust fans-intake etc. if you are over 85F i think you should see a noticble slow down, closer to and above 90F will be like watching paint dry, unless you are using co2, they will thrive with temps 85-95 with co2. we last spoke about co2 setups, did you get anything going yet?also exactly how long into flowering? first 3 weeks of flowering an indica is called the stretch period, major growth during this time, after this she will slow to a halt and start to thicken out, perhaps this is whats happening?
Morris its way too hot in my grow room. I noticed slow growth of buds and just verticle growth of the plants. WHAT CAN i DO? CAN I SAVE THEM AND HAVE THEM STILL PRODUCE???? should I get a portable air unit?
stop using the h202 with the hygrozyme, i know the lable says you can use in small amounts, those high PH spikes can be attributed to a few things, you just may have to bite the bullet and adjust it daily, your in a bubbler right? the plants drinking up all that water just may be it, leaving behind a higher concentration of salts throwing your PH off, in my aero systems when plants get large and drink all that water i get those spikes too, i know you dont use much clay pellets, i have a table full and i know i need a good flush from salt build up on the pellets, this is what causes my PH spikes also when i fed often if happened, so you may have to tweak something or adjust daily
