  • ummm correcdt me if im wrong, but your laundry outlet sounds like it is 240v... not 120v, because the color combination red black and white in a residential setting (or commercial for that matter) is a 240v circuit w/ a neutral.

    let me ask you this.. on the laundry plug itself, what does it look like? does it look like a regular outlet except the slots are turned sideways-

    ..o ..<~~~ like that or is the plug itself of the larger variety like something you would plug in a dryer or oven?
    is the box the 30amp laundry outlet is in made out of metal, or plastic? if its made out of metal you can round the ground wire from the subpanel to a screw in the box. if its not metal, you definitly cannot use the white as a ground, oing so will energize the can and candoor and anything you have plugged in to the subpanel, and you dont want that.
