when i start my seeds and i know some will agree i just put them right in plugs or pucks or plain old soil with no nutes.seeds and very small clones die quick if you add too many nutes .maybe it was somthing in the soil .

pics would help,depends on what bugs,some bugs are bad,like the prick ass spider mites.i dont use MG soil,some do,i just buy my soil in big bails and add like bat shit,worm castings,ash,etc.honestly you can use whatever you want its a weed lol.if you cant afford nutes at like a hydroshop go to...
