    I'm using them for the first time and the cuttings seem to be rooting just fine. I watered them with a tablespoon of water per cube prior to sticking. It says in the directions that it is best to water them before use. With a heat mat under the tray they do dry out quickly. Keep an eye on them...

    You using HID lighting??? The instructions on my ballast say to leave the ballast off for 30 min before turning it back on. You are also putting extra stress on the bulb by turning it on and off a lot. Not sure about it stressing the plants out though.

    Adding Cal/Mag -Distilled water

    I use a teaspoon of calmag to a gallon of distilled or ro filtered water every time I water. I was giving them calmag every 2 to 3 times i watered but i kept having issues with mag def. Now they are showing a little N burn because the calmag also contains Nitrogen. I guess I need to back off on...

    Ok so your talking 450 square feet with roughly 450,000 lumens right?? That's only 1k lumens per square foot. you would need a lot more light to fill a 15x30 room.

    What you are talking about is called powdery mildew, or "pm". The most organic, and IMO best way to get rid of it is to lower the humidity with a dehumidifier. All other fixes are simply a bandaid. Here are some links to info on PM, and ways to keep it from spreading...

    I bought an 8 bulb 4 foot t5 made by Sunleaves and I have been very happy with it. It has 2 switches that control the center bulbs and the outer bulbs independently so you can use it as a 4 bulb light when they are small, and then kick on the other 4 when your plants get a little bigger...
