res problems, milky white with stuff floating around

Sounds like something is def living in ur res. You could install a simple pond/water filter, that would get rid of the symptoms, but not the problem. For something to live, it needs light, water and nutes and a place to breed. It wouldn't be some kind of fungus/organism living in ur grow medium...

SOG vs SCROG vs Regular grow

Wait... you have one light for an entire room?

    Flir question........

If you're pumping it out of your house, they can see it. Remember, these radars aren't always in the air. All they image is heat, if ur pumping heat, they see it as if it were white smoke. If you want to take the risk, by all means go for it. But i'd do it just to know i'm safe and there's no...

    Flir question........

Vent it under or into your house, that way it evenely disperses. FLIR can pick up all heat signitures, however, the person behind the scope is only looking for concentrated heat; hot spots, if you will. As for the "no one will know it's a grow room" thing, police assume the worst, first...

    Systems besides cool tube

LED has no penetration however, lower branches will suffer. This is a sheer symptom of low intensity. I figure the only way to match a HPS or MH bulb would be watt for watt. 400w LED = 400w HPS imo.

    Systems besides cool tube

I have done a grow with 3 90watt LED UFOs and I was so terribly disappointed with the results. I now use my trusty 400w HPS and couldn't be happier. That's my experience and all lights and situations are different as we all know. You cool the room exactly as you would with a cool tube except the...

vented hood recommendations for a square footprint???

I love adjust-a-wing for a square footprint. However, it is not vented. By far the superior reflector though. Any small cool tube should suit your needs, the smaller ones tend to be rather square.

    Too much NOISE!!

Sell it on eBay and buy a more appropriate fan.

    Light mover or more lights?

How can a simple electric motor in a light-mover draw more power than 2 massive arch bulbs? I would take a lot of your friend's advice with a grain of salt. I would go the light-mover route, however I get nervous looking at grow rooms using cooltubes and ducting with light-movers.

in a 10'w x10'L x8'h space, what is your ideal setup?

Perfect setup would be a bar, a comfy couch and a nice stereo blasting good tunes. ;) But really, lots of light, good temp control and high quality soil for me. I don't ask for much.

How am I goign to keep it @ 70 at nights when the lights are off?

Put a small heater with a thermostat in the grow room if you're stressing about it. Those small oil heaters with timers are a good choice. Low energy consumption as well. But if you're looking for a natural way to heat the room, you're pretty much fucked. Only thing i can think of is to...

A MASSIVE oversight in my grow plan

Or just turn the fans off at night and let the carbon filter scrub the air when they turn back on in the morning.

design a htg growbright 8'x4' xxl tent (1k(s) or 600(s)?)

Throw a 600W HPS with a cooltube in there and add another 600W HPS with cooltube whenever you want to.You can connect it straight onto the existing ducting for the existing light. Nice and efficient.

Questions for you seasoned indoor growers

Sounds to me like 2 grow tents would suit you. Put a 600w MH in one for veg and a 600w HPS for your flowering tent. You can generally get some great deals on ebay for complete tent packages including fans, carbon filters, lights etc. But that depends on the scope of your grow op. Greatest of...
