You can't put too much dry verm on the top, it will only help. Remember the inside will be the last part to cool, but generally if they are just a little warm to the touch you are good to go :peace:

Not a problem, just make sure the dry verm layer is heaping out of the jar a little and use your lid to "smash" it down a little, this will ensure it stays in tact as the cake colonizes. They shrink to some degree as they colonize which can compromise the dry verm layer.

If you are talking about PF jars, you have a dry verm barrier so contams shouldn't be a worry unless you packed it really loose. If you are talking about grain jars..... no need to use tape although micropore could work. Polyfil is generally better in that situation ime. Either way you will...

Well you have a better job than me, I wasn't starting a competition or anything. I just don't see the need to buy a generator and keep it fueled for a 4x4 tent when the electricity is reasonable. I don't sell mine though, it's all for me :bigjoint:

I don't really need to, I have two 600w leds in there (which dont draw 600w each). I think between the two of them they raise my average bill like 40 bucks a month at the most. That is a lot easier than hearing neighbors bitch etc. I make that much money at my day job in less than two hours.

Mine are a little closer and some of them are hardcore yuppies at that..... gotta keep it quiet at least. My LED's cost almost nothing to run though.
