Mizzmoe yeah I go light dose on the purple max but I grow only aero and hydro only moms in soil as soil takes to long for me and is the hardest way to grow for me..I think it says like 1-2 ml per gallon so i go 1 mil to stay low.I go above the charts with my Fox Farm nutes when i grow the Chart to me is a baseline low level. I have never been able to burn a plant with fox farm nutes of any kind.I hit ppm levels of up to 1900 at certain stages of growth. I like the Fox Farm stuff and the humboldt additives and now Humbodlt has a complete line of nutrients I want to go grab. just started using thier Honey product but they have a line of about 25 nutes and additives so i will be grabbing the entire line soon and begin testing it.. as far as gravity,purple maxx and soil growing Id go low and just watch but since Im anti soil I dont have much to offer for that way of growing sorry..

Sure what nutes do you use and do you not have thier feeding charts? If not tell me the nutes and the maker ie Fox Farm, Advanced, Flora. or whichever

did you say to use the purple maxx light as it c ? can burn? i use soil (1/2 Sunshine #4 1/2 Ocean Forest) in 3.5 gal pots. they finish about 5 1/2 to 6' . I only get 5p's , must have hit the 6 by mistake. i'm growing Romulan right now. tried Canna Boost last time (BIG WASTE of money) . I use Fox Farm but cut back some of the Grow Big and add GH's floramicro. get a seperate form of N plus good cal. and micros. also add Seaplex and Floralicous plus. Hum Tea every other week . foliar durning veg. w/ organicare combo. want to find which supplement to use. Have seen Fox Farms results, not bad. Have heard the Humboldt County stuff works nice and is reasonably priced. Just dont want to burn my babies. Got 3 weeks to go.
So how high do you go w/ nutes when using the Purple Maxx. it says to cut in half if using w/ gravity. I water every other day and use 30 gals each time so they get flushed good on straight water days. thats my only concern w/ using it w/ plain water like they suggest.

Also 6 lbs for 20 plants is excellent your growing hydro or soil and how big of plants and what strain any journels?

Hey Fletch, I have been using Fox Farm schedule w/ a few alterations w/ great results. i want to try Gravity and PurpleMaxx to help fatten things up. i've gotten decent results w/ fox farm additives before but just want to bulk things up even more. I run 4 1000's and do 20 plants. usually get around 6 p's. right at my dr.s recommendation. anyway your the only guy i have found who combines the fox farm and the humboldt county stuff. it seems i have to be careful w/ the Purple Maxx. Do you cut your FoxFarm main nutes in half? thanks

Fletch, the 447.00 was for the whole system shipping included. Thanks for the advice on the amount of pots per my area. I'll keep you in mind when i need that extra tent.

Hey Fletch thanks for the advice. I have another most likely dumb question if you don't mind. I think its hard to find the answer as it is probably really simple, but when I germinate the seeds, do I go straight into the rockwools and into the aero setup? I know on your quick aero build it set to put a rooted seedling in but I am not sure how long the root would need to be and also how to start the pump in the early stages. Don't laugh too much at me lol. Thanks.

In a 5x5 tent Id say like 9 buckets would be a good number so they have some space . I own an online hydro store actual 2 so i have access to the bb N grow schematics but had to locate parts which I did. Your local hydro store is selling just the brain bucket for $447? wow what a rip off joint.the brain bucket shouldnt be that high. Im thinking my brain bucket will be able to be made for around $90 and then to make it a 12 plant setup with res total wholesale cost of parts would be like $160 with pumps fittings and buckets. If i added a 55 gallon drum for a res that adds $40 but its not need you can use a simple rubeermaid tub from walmart for about $12. Depending on time I will see what I can price these for think Ill offer it in a few versions like just the brain bcuket, complete 12 site unit,less buckets setup, without res or with, with or without pumps if people have thier own already.If you need another tent let me know I have good deals and digital ballast and light kits.

How many plants do you think I can fit (ebb and grow) in a 5x5x7.6 tent and get the best yield off of a 600 watter. Also can I run some of the pots off of the system to a small mother/clone tent? About the control system... if you have a hydro shop around you maybe they have on on display. My local hydro shop does. The cheapest i found on ebay was 447.oo which included shipping and bc nutes.

Thanks for the post. I havent used the ebb and grow system. i have seen them and I have gotten all the parts to build my own cheaper version of the control units and all my posts about them were asking for pictures and how they were setup so i could make my own units as the ones that are out there are tooe xspensive so i have in the process now of assembling my version to offer along with my aeroponics setups and mini flood tables with light hangers.If not ina real rush once I complete my version I can get you a cost on the brain buckets and then tell you how to get the buckets for free then just had your own res,hose and fitings and you ll have a much cheaper ebb and grow version.I grow aeroponics and flood table right now but will be using this unit when I finish it just waiting for the timer so i can assemble the brain box

Hi. I'm contimplating the purchase of an ebb and grow system and I see from one of your past posts that you use one. How has your experience with it been so far? compliments and drawbacks of the unit are appreciated. Oh ya this will be my first hydro grow in an 5'x5'x7'6" tent with a 600 watt air cooled. All advice appreciated.

Playa Its ounds like your using the smaller aero tub setups correct. the pump will be fine just keep it on 24 hours a day dont cycle it.In these setup I find it better to keep smaller plants that finsih around 2 feet when done as you are on limited roots apce and branch space. I always suggest lollipoping in these setup and super cropping or fiem tech works great.If using co2 make sure its and enclosed room not a giant open area as you will be wasting co2 as it has to stay with the plants so has to be sealed with a few room air exchanges right before fresh co2 fills. Also with co2 keep temps closer to 80-85 as they need the extra heat to absorb the co2 in order to get the benefit. 70-75 is a bit too cool for co2 usage. Fans down low blowing up will send the heavy co2 back up into the air to fall over the plants...
