Just a best guess, but looks like Calcium and or Mag deficiency. How much cal/mag are you adding, you might need to increase it a bit. I have a couple of strains going that need more than others.

Id just do a normal ph flush, 2-3x the volume of soil so 10-15 gal in this case. Then id give em a good feed at the correct ph to give back some food.

Happens to me every time I water, I'm in coco using smart pots. I just move some soil over them to keep the light off of them and move on. As long as you can keep the light off of them should be ok.

TCP = Trichlorophenylmethyliodosalicyl, an antiseptic cleaning type deal, pretty common in the UK. As for why the weed smells that way, Could be just its smell, or mold. I for the life of me cant recall what TCP smelled like so cant really be of help there.

Doubtful, moisture tends to clog the little pours the carbon uses to hold onto smells. Hook a fan up to it see if the air flow is okay, then give a try with some incense, if you smell stuff, or the air wont flow (clogged) then its done.
