Hey Dash! Thanks for posting here. First off, yes, I see Krishna, et al, as avatars - that 'did' take physical form. Like this, I wonder if Paul saw something other's didn't? I see them as direct 'descendants' of the Sun. Each one has a specific teaching (sword). From what I've read of gnostic works, they're sent in times of upheaval on earth. Times when the population was degenerated to an awful degree. Some people are able to perfect themselves, and become messengers.
