I'm no expert but I would always go the blue line, by going the red line your removing potential bud sites, unless you wanted to make a clone. Well thats my reasoning anyway. I cut the blue line and the plant produces two new stems which means more bud sites.

Can't wait to get stuck in, think maybe I'm over thinking it a bit and need to see what works.

I've only one going at the moment from bag seed, not sure what it is as I had the seed a while think it could be haze. It's been mostly outdoors so far but I'll bring it in to bud.
