I have sort of put off getting a recommendation but I finally went ahead and did it. . It was such a neat experience, I had never been exposed to such a selection. Walked out with an 8th of dank Bubba OG for $40, a free nug jar, pre roll and lighter because I was a new patient! This is so cool!
If your tap water is low ppm use it. Problem with tap is that all areas have different tap so you don't know what's in it without a test. Even if the final ppm value is within range one nutrient may be in much higher concentration than others. Hydro is weird in a sense that if there is too much...
I've been checking the trichromes with a microscope and I saw my first amber trichrome. Most are clear and about a third are white. How do I know when it is time to start flushing?
thanks for the compliments. I know I can add a few more CFL's but this is just a learner grow. I'm just going to let it finish out the way it was built then build a second grow using some HID lights. I am trying to gauge how much more time til I should harvest.
Sadly SOME of the sugar leaves...
I'm within a couple weeks of harvesting my first grow. 6 plants using 300 watt cfl fox farm nutrients in a DIY ebb & flow setup. Following fox farm hydro schedule slightly conservatively. I took pictures through the grow and decided to post them in case anyone is interested.:

There are good things in tap water but there are also bad things. Chlorine and fluorine for example are added which plants don't like and can kill benefiial microbes in your soil or reservoir. Tap water also has things that effect ph adjustment and are more prone to ph problems. I would stay ro...
I was bored this morning and did some calculations to help me decide which nutrients to use for my next grow. Thought one way to compare was to determine the cost per gallon. I followed the hydro schedule for fox farm and advanced nutrient getting 2 values. 1 for the first week and 1 for the...
I planned to build a very well insulated grow room (for my second grow) in a shed in my spacious backyard. I planned to line the walls with a high quality insulation to efficiently keep the room at optimal temperature without much heating or cooling. I live in Socal at the average temps by...
