im using 2 cfls, one of them is 42 watts and the other is 65 watts. 42 = 150w? my plants dont seem to be liking the new 42 watt too much. im not sure why. are 42s good?

unfortunately i dont have an income right now, so i cant afford to be buying expensive bags of soil. is there any other cheaper kinds that i could get that work well

ive been watering them around once every 2 days. i just wait until 4 inches or so down into the soil is dry. and i water it. ive been watering them this way since the beginning and theyre all growing perfectly fine. just that one. its the odd one out i suppose

uhm. im using miracle gro potting mix on all of them, ill be buying some organic soil soon though. I have some 30-10-10 plant food stuff that i mixed with water that i gave them like once. they are all under the same circumstances. But its just the one thats kind of looking unhealthy to me.

im using a 65 watt now, and two 13 watt cfls. the 13 watt cfls dont seem to be doing hardly anything, but the 65 watt seems to be doing awesome with the plants.

thank you for the guidance bro, ill get two 42watts tonight. hook them up and see how it works over the next week. and yeah, i did mean flowering. sorry for the confusion. Only two weeks in, and the plant starts to give off an odor. thanks for the heads up. but i dont have to worry about...

since my plant is only in the seedling stage right now, would two 42 watt bulbs be too much? i would like to buy them rigt now. and get it out of the way. and if i have 2 42 watt bulbs. i understand it wouldnt be the best, but would that sustain veg as well?

8 dollars at walmart? the only one ive found thats 8 dollars is a 20 watt cfl. equiv is 75. is that good?

im guessing they are flood lights. because they get bigger towards the top and wider. so, i should get a bag of organic soil? the water is soft, im using spring water. And what wattage bulb would you recommend. i have lamps, with wire necks that are extendable, just. what watt would work best...

oh really, ? i didnt know that, ive been watering the middle too. so maybe ill try watering more around the edge of the pot instead, thanks.

they arent just regular bulbs. they arent incandescent. im using miracle grow potting mix, i know its not the best choice, but its all i had at the time, and im kind of broke.
