the vortex i got from attitude was in the legit breeder pack. if you buy 'pick and mix' then you take your chances, but i think attitude are pretty trustworthy.

Yikes. Glad my last order from attitude got through, even more glad that it was 74 seeds, as I won't need to order again. I got some through planetskunk previously with no issue either.

I'd like to see a pic of what you mean, as 1/7 nirvana fems I have going right now is rubbish brown and fluffy; I've read that herming could be responsible. Altho mine does have trichs, the hairs have been brown since week 4, and the buds are mostly small (week 8 now).

just to let you know hxvoc, the ak-48 isn't that fast, i have a few at week 8 right now that have a little to go.

unlikely the genetics are at fault. if anything, the way they were stored/transported was dodgy, such as some heat stress in transit?

i got good yields from it, can't say about the quality of the smoke as i went on holiday for the harvest process and so there was no cure, some even just got left on the plant to die for weeks... smells like sickly orange... I dunno why price is a factor though, the cost of running lights and...

I ran some white label white skunk for my first grow because they were the cheapest out... got 4/5 females... at about week 6 12/12 i accidentally left the lights on for 4 days, it was over 60degC in there the whole time, and even after that they didn't herm... got about 3 ounces a plant, can't...

you don't want the plants to be below the light, i tried having a plant directly underneath instead of a fan, it didn't grow at all. unless you have the plants quite far away (which with lots of plants is not necessarily a bad thing for overall yield), it is hard to get the whole plant soaked in...

have an 8 inch inline fan that i wasnt using anymore, chucked it on a milkcrate underneath the light; no heat issues.

It is ridiculously easy to get prescriptions for it in Australia if you say the right stuff.

I submit that if your plants are touching the tube/bulb, then they are too close, and you're not getting the benefits of the large canopy area you can achieve by having a greater number of plants further back. And large canopy area is the main reason people use vert isn't it? I do have one...

I like vertical because you don't have to worry about differing plant heights and training to create a flat horizontal canopy. My temperatures are also lower using a fan blowing up at the light than they were with a cooltube. My problem with it at the moment is the plants growing into the light...
