I am sure you could do that, but 12/12 works flawlessly. It wouldn't make any sense to play around with the light schedule just to try and come closer to getting a more "realistic" nature feel.

You have two options, you can either just put it back into 24 hours of light, or slowly ease it back into it starting with a 18/6 light cycle, then working your way back up to the 24 hours of constant light. It will take a few weeks before it makes the change back to the vegetative state.

What do you mean it budded early? If you have it in the vegetative state, there shouldn't be any bud yet, and if you switched over to flowering (12/12) then you should be expecting to see buds. I don't really get your question without more information...
