google ron paul and check out his homepage... he is a very famous congresman and ran for president last year along with bob barr... ron paul is a doctor and has never smoked or done drugs but he beleives in the upmost freedom of choice including getting rid of the DEA totally and ending the war on drugs.. check out ron paul marijuana on youtube and he says it blantently clear that he favors marijuana legalization.. this bill is just a start to get some sort of marijuana legalized federally before he goes to make marijuana legal totally by the federal (not state) gov

I dont have any update but i know hes working on the bill to audit the federal reserve which is his main goal right now so this bill prob wont go far unless others sign on

Ron Paul is awesome! He runs as a Republican but really he is politically a Libertarian. Very smart man!

I wish Canada had a *real* Libertarian party (I know there is one here but they are beyond useless) and someone like Ron Paul at the helm. Instead we have a separatist party (for Quebec) that is bringing this country to its knees. A conservative party that is anything but conservative and is trying to mandate mandatory sentencing and basically doing whatever they can to stick their brown noses as far up the U.S.'s ass they can, a Liberal party with a new leader that just move back from the states after living there for 20 years (WTF?!?!?) and an NDP party that is, well, socialist and scary. The green party are insane and the rest are all fringe (sorry that includes the Marijuana party) that don't have a hope in hell.
