Has anyone ever tried this?

I heard you can buy poppy seeds used for cooking in local supermarkets. Take about 200-300 grams worth and add it to hot water for a period of time and so forth but the actual outcome is a very sleepy and euphoric tea for about 5 bucks? I will try and let peeps know what the deal is.

So long as you make it from Papaver Somniferum, Papaver Giganthemum or Papaver Paeoniflorumpoppy seeds, which you can order online but may not be able to find at your local market. Orientale, California, Icelandic, Rhoaes and Prickly poppy seeds won't work, they don't contain enough of the alkaloids for the high you want.

Well fellas curiosity killed the cat. I went to the local asian store here in portland and picked up 2lbs of poppy seed. I went home and brought 2 liters of water to a boil. I then placed all the seeds in the pot and let it steep for 1/2 hour or so. I then strained all of the contents into a suitable size jar through a pair of pantyhose. The end result looked like a whitish yellow looking water....I am currently now drinking it, I can honestly say after drinking 1 liter of the tea, which is half of it...I have a very nice euphoric high.....Im not lit of my ass, but being an opiate addict at 1 time in my life I know the high when I feel it....although I really don't see myself doing this regularly, I was curious and am sattisfied with end results.

hmmmm sure it's not placebo? that would be really cool, if i wasn't alergic to opiats ...damn!

you can buy the buttons online, they are fresh cuttings i guess, don't know if it's legit but it looks like it, very cheep as well, i do'nt know how many buttons you would have to eat to freek out, but it seems like it would work.
