Welcome! Ok so after checking out RIU for a bit I decided to move my journal over here. This first post will cover the gear I'm using. Feel free to comment.

So that's what I'm working with. Tomorrow I'll cover what I'm growing. Peace!

First, I forgot 1 piece for the gear section.

Water Source : Standard 3 part reverse osmosis filter, resevoir with float valve, 4 air stones and one pump for ultra oxygen saturation. Water is poured into 1 gallon jugs and nutrients mixed in them and ph upped to 6.3.
100_1771.jpg100_1773.jpg100_1770.jpg100_1772.jpg

Ok. Now for the fun stuff!

Strain Review

We run our plants in pairs(usually) so we're usually only doing 2 at a time(harvesting, re-potting, cloning, ect.). We use 5 gallon Smart pots with 75% Sunshine Pro mix #4 and 25% Just Right X-tra(biology in a bag stuff). We are currently switching from Advanced Nutrients to Technaflora B.C. nutrients. Also use virtually all of A.N. add ons, Great White mychorrizae stuff, SuperThrive, Hygrozyme, ummm probably forgetting a few. Only been growing a couple years and just finished the 'buy everything I can that claims to help' phase and am nonw entering the 'how much of this stuff do I REALLY need?' phase.

What's up. I forgot to show the little femenised Royal Haze from Dinafem. They claim it is their 'signature sativa'...sounds cool. Will be my first plant labeled as a sativa.
100_1811.jpg

Today I had to go pick up some new soiless mix and decided to try the new stuff.
100_1809.jpgNo side by side, I'm just switching.

Here are the Kiwiskunk clones moved into pots today. There is one that has a leaf that grew in the darkness of the cloner...man that's crazy!
100_1815 2.jpg100_1816.jpg100_1814.jpg100_1815.jpgIt's hard to see, think I need a better camera or more practice taking pictures.

Here is a picture of Magic Bud after hanging on it's way to the jar.
100_1808.jpg

That's all for today. Peace RIU!

Today when the lights came on I finished hooking up the drain I started last night. This is freaking cool! No more emptying the dehumidifier bucket everyday. Far more important than convenience is flushing. I have gotten this far with no flushing. Now we can flush every 30 days just like the good bible recommends! I'm really excited about the benefits of this now that it is possible.

Today Iinstalled the sticky zipper thing on the dry closet in the veg room. I had my doubts about theese things but now I think they're pretty cool! I think they'd work good to section off a room.
100_1854.jpg100_1848.jpg

Here is tomorrows harvest. Bubba Kush pre '98 at day 58. 100_1837.jpg100_1834.jpg100_1835.jpg100_1836.jpg100_1833.jpg

O so Caveman was computer illiterate till recently so you gotta make the pics big yourself if you want. This is Bubba Kush pre '98 t day 60. This is the most colorful strain I've grown yet(leaf wise I mean).

100_1887.jpg100_1893.jpg100_1894.jpg100_1882.jpg100_1891.jpg100_1878.jpg100_1889.jpg100_1886.jpg100_1890.jpg100_1895.jpg100_1877.jpg100_1885.jpg

Good question. This is the first time I've grown that strain and I guess I like to see how they grow sorta all natural to get a good idea the best way to trim and train it on the next 2. Thanks for stopping by! +rep

that is a great idea...i cant believe i have never done that. i have pruned since i have started and NEVER even stopped to think the genetics would play into that pretty heavily. i feel almost stupid :( thanks (cave)man. got to spread it around but +rep

Here are some pics of the Cave and what's coming up.
100_1913.jpgCarbon air scrubber, dehumidifier, Co2 generator and tower fan
100_1912.jpgOther side of the cave. Controller foreground, another carbon filter in the back

Here's the one called I call Crazy Cheese. I thought with how she grew this phenotype was a keeper but her buds have fox-tailed. They will be potent, but not fat and dense. Her sister didn't grow so wild but has more standard fatter denser buds.
100_1908.jpg100_1910.jpg100_1911.jpg100_1909.jpg

Here are some mixed up shots of Great White Shark and Magic Bud

Here's a cured KiwiSkunk top. Thats all bud, not a cluster held together by a giant stem.

Thanks for stopping by!
