Ha, yeah I hear ya. Im curious to see if there are any effects of using the glass. Still seems to me like it would be the same as a duct cooled light, but I dont know shit haha.

its running at a steady 81 now. Hows that?

Man i dont see how that can work? one plant of mine takes up feet of space in all directions....
When plants flower they usually half to double in size. He's not buying autoflower strains, he can totally control the size they become and will stay. Even if the do get a little bushy, theres nothing wrong with a plant losing a limb or two.

If you can't see how this is gonna work, stay tuned my friend, stay tuned.

Alright guys, talk to me about my fan setup.

If you look at the attached picture:

the 2 fans on the right are 92mm, 70CFM fans ( http://www.cwc-group.com/ds8.html )

The 2 fans on the left are 120mm exhaust fans 90CFM (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0312369)

I was using a glass pane in the top but ive since took it out to see if it is absorbing any light to my plant.

My question is this: Am i better off with only the single intake fan at the bottom right of the case and the 2 exhaust fans on the left? Its hard for me to imagine that the one intake fan blowing on the light isnt keeping the temp down. Im not having any temp probs now, just wondering what would be an optimal solution.

Alright new pics:

I checked on my sprout today and it looks pretty dried up and the cup felt light. Its crazy how quick it dries. I checked it about 12 hrs ago and misted the top of the soil cause it looked dry but the cup was still heavy. This afternoon it was totally dried out. I took a couple of pics of the dried up soil but you can actually see it pulling away from the sides of the cup. Im pretty sure thats not good seeing as how young the plant is. I guess its not like its been dry for a real long time if the soil was still moist last night. I need to pick me up a soil meter here real soon.

Ive been kind of disappointed in this sprout so far, its not really doing shit. The 3rd pic is where its been for a few days now. The leaves and the stem are getting thicker but its not growing up too much. Ill just make sure it stays watered and lighted and wait it out :) Patience is tough for me haha.

The last pic is of my case. I raised the plant pretty close to the light with the pringles cases. Ive got great air flow up there so I think I can maximize my light intake and still not burn it up. Ill be keeping a close eye on this tho to be sure.

I cant WAIT for my new seeds to get here so I can get this thing rollin!!

Please post some comments/feedback!
Happy Sunday!!

The third pic was took just after I watered it so it might look wet. The first two pics show what it was like before I watered it

Well Im hopin that most of the growth is goin on under the ground cause it sure as shit isnt happening above ground. Im getting a nice thicker stem now and my 2 leaves are growing bigger. but still nuthin else. I bought a soil meter from Earl May and have been using that to water with. My soil is about 30-40% perlite, Im not sure if this is why its been draining out so fast, but Ive been watering it everyday pretty much. The light from the 24/0 is def drying it out. I guess if its suckin up all that water, the roots are growing, so Im waiting to see.

I got these seeds from a buddy of mine and in hindsight, I wonder how good of an idea that was. Theres no tellin how long theyve been around. The first one burned up and died, and this one is slow as fuck. Hopefully somethin starts goin on soon.

Any thoughts?

Great grow. I'm going to start a grow almost exactly similar to yours. I was thinking of only using 2 fans at first but then I saw you added an intake fan on the top toward your light which I think is a great idea. I'll probably do that for my case. I bought a old 24" case on ebay. I gotta go to a hardware store, buy some mylar and other things.

Which seeds are you waiting on? I bought Northern Lights seeds for my PC grow because of the low odor, and short stature because of its indica genetics. I will probably be LSTing them too.

Do you have any suggestions for my grow case?

oh, and btw if I were you maybe i would move the cup a few inches lower. But idk, I'm not an expert.

Thanks, and good luck on your grow.

UPDATE:

I got a new pot today :blsmoke: I figured the extra space for the root growth would help. Its not really doin shit and it might die any day now, but I had to do somethin. Those cups werent getting it cut. Stay tuned for more details

Product: Ceres Seeds Orange Bud Feminized

Product: Pick & Mix Seeds . DNA Genetics Kushberry Feminized

Product: UFO #2 DNA Genetics Sharksbreath

Product: UFO #1 DNA Rocklock Feminized[/FONT]

Yeah the intake fan on the top helps keep the heat down quite a bit. I can actually put the plant closer to the light and it not get hot. Make sure u have higher exhaust
CFM fans than intakes so u have that negative pressure goin on. Read up about it on here if u havent already.

I still think my seedling is retarded but we'll see what happens. This is more of an experiment til the others show up. I dont have much advice at this time except how to build a pretty case. Im waiting for somethin to happen here soon. Post some pics and start a journal and Ill keep an eye on ur grow.
