Hello,

decided I need to keep better track of my babies, so this oughta help.. :bigjoint:

First off, just wanted to make a note of how fast germination was. I put three white widow seeds from seedsman in between two wet paper towels, and placed them in a ziploc bag on top of the refrigerator. this was 12-1.

12-2, the next day, all three seeds had popped overnight! couldnt believe it, as I had blue mystic seeds started several days earlier, and they were behind WW.

so put the white widow seeds in rockwool cubes, and placed in a humidity dome next to several perfmafrost clones.

On 12/4, just two days after popping, all WW seedlings had emerged from the rockwool cubes, and one was already rooted!!!

Today, 12/6, two WW's showed roots emerging from the rockwool cubes, so transplanted them into styrofoam cups using Foxfarms soil. back into humidy dome for 18/6.

will update regularly with more info and pics :) any input is welcome:bigjoint:

i just bought a 5 gal dwc bucket set up from stealth hydro, but im not sure how to germinate for a hydro set up. do you just germinate the same way only in rockwool cubes so the cubes can go right into the grow rocks inside the net pot? then into the nutrient solution goes the roots?

yea what i did wa first germinate them using the wet paper towel/ziploc bag method, and once they popped, put the little white root tip facing down into the hole in the rockwool cube, and waited for them to sprout and take root. once i noticed a root tip poking through the bottom of the rockwool cube I placed the whole cube into a styrofoam cup with foxfarms soil, and then covered it. now there sittin in the windowsill enjoying the sunlight!:bigjoint:

oh sorry, and yea for using net pots(I use 3.75" net pots and works really well) you want to put a little bit of hydroton in the net pot (maybe an inch or so, just to cover the bottom), and then put the cube on top of it.Then fill in the space around the cube with hydroton, and the roots will grow out of the net pot and into the water in the DWC. hope that helps :)

hey man glad you stopped by! I moved the sprouts to a friends setup, as I'm trying to find room in my tiny ass apartment for a veg cabinet. currently using one sink cabinet for the clone/seedling area, where the humidity dome is. as soon as I get some more money I would like to invest in a basic flouro tube, just to get through veg...

so yea, the friend has the sprouts and Im currently tryin to wake him up so I can get some pictures taken, and I think I might just pop em in under the 400watt anyway, then once the lights go off for 12/12, move em in with the sprouts and seedlings for a few more hours

I'd be carefull putting sprouts under a 400w HPS. That's a lot of light. You'll have to keep it at quite a distance from the plants.

yea i currently have them about 3 feet away from the light, and there definitely not directly in the center of the light, but towards the edge where its not as intense. there just setting on the floor in styrofoam cups, next to the big potted plants.
