Barneys Blue Cheese 1st grow (week1 flower)

so iv been readin alot of journals recently and i thought its about time i made my own!!

im not much of a talker...or shud i say typa so il keep it short

this is my first eva grow so please any advice and/or feedback is welcome

i hav 10 barneys'blue cheese out of which 2 are still in veg because they r like a 3rd of the height to the other 8!!
does any1 know y this is????

so my 8 flowering plants are under a 600w HPS

i dont really kno what other kind of info im supposed to add so jus ask me and i will tell u
i hav added a few pictures to bring u all up 2 date
the last 2 pictures are of the runts.. i have kept them in veg still because of ther size!!

am i doin ok for my 1st grow????

Hey tru... subscribing to your new journal - looks really good so far!! As for the 2 slow ones... it really could just be the pheno - genetics can cause some seeds to just grow slower and maybe even ultimately turn out to be shorter than the others. I wouldn't worry too much - the extra veg time for them may or may not help, but it doesn't hurt either. My first grow had a slow blue-cheese plant too - it was shorter than the others for most of the grow but then it took off in the flowering phase and even caught up to the others by the end. Barneys' genetics are really good - don't worry too much about a few being shorter at this poing. Flowering can cause plants to double and even triple in size!

In my second grow, I even tried some LST on my blue-cheese. It worked okay, but I could have done more and had even more tops if I had to room - the bath-tub isn't quite big enough to do that much LSTing with 6 females in there!!

Dude how big are those pots. Your roots need at least a 5 gallon bucket or they wont grow as big as they could. Looks like to me your roots have run out of room to grow. Change to a bigger pot and use different soil mixture if possible. Hey your welcome..

thanx dayzt im sorry if this is a stupid question but what duz 'pheno' mean??
and i am doin lst on the 2 little runts if u look at the last 2 pix u can kinda c it.

i was kinda thinkin that was th case but i told a grower friend that i cud c roots all out the bottom of my pots and he told me that ment they wer healthy??

i dont actually have any bigger pots at the moment or the money to buy any for that matter!!
i am unemployed for the tym being and i put all my eggs in to this basket unfortunatley!!

\any suggestions?
do u think they will survive them pots tilll harvest???

The small pots are fine. The plant's growth potential is dependent upon the size of the pot, among other things. The plant wont die, it will just not get as big as it could.

And a phenotype is simply the characteristics of the plant. For example if you have 10 blue cheese and 8 are tall and lanky and 2 are short and squatty, you have 2 phenotypes. The lanky pheno and the squatty pheno. It is helpful when trying to predict how a plant is going to grow so you can adapt your space accordingly.

thanx alot for that 'big b' but wud that also mean less yield??
and if i tuk clones from the short phenos would that mean all the cuttings wud b short??
or cud it possibly grow lanky again?

i quite like th idea of small plants ... less hassle but i need yield so if a short plant effects that i wud rather not!

no the pheno type stays what it is. they will yield more in bigger pots but you can lst and top for max yield with what you have.

th thing is tho if u luk at th pickaz ul notice that if i try any kind of lst alot of th pups will b out of the light zone, if that makes sense!!

i wanna cova the entrance somehow but im really thick wen it cumz to stuf like that..im not jokin cuz.
also i am broke as a joke at the moment so if any 1 has any ideas i wud appreciate it.
