Now here is a plant that was vegged for a week before being put in the system, seems to be the perfect amount of time to veg for the height I want:

This may be the example of what I want from now on and my cloning schedule will have to adjust to fit.

Do you guys feel there is a rift on this site? Like there are commercial growers, connoisseur growers, medical growers, micro growers, and beginning growers. It seems that for some reason they just cannot get along. For instance I am responsible for providing myself with medicine, while others are just growing because they can and then others still grow solely to sell. I'm not knocking recreational use, I have nothing against that because I used marijuana before my diagnosis recreationally. My point just seems that this website seems to be cliquish to an extent based on the size of our grows, for some reason a person with a room full of 1000W HID lights does not regard a micro PC grow with CFLs as a real grow kinda thing. In my eyes, if the plant is growing then it is a legitament grow. If it flowers and produces a harvest kudos to the grower. Hell some grows on this site never even make it past the seedling stage.

It is not just this site, it is all sites. I really have no clue about what I was rambling about but I had just finished reading some ignorant comments on some threads and just felt like saying that all growers on this site and others need to respect all growers of different types equally. Just the fact that they are growing is respectful in my opinion.
I hear what you are saying and agree...

Even my HERO, Al B. Fuct, was quick to shoot down anything that didn't harvest enough to get you through the next grow...

He has a point, but he didn't need to be rude about it, or make people feel stupid...

I try to help the newbs a much as I can... I am subscribed to like 357 threads... 3 of which I follow for my own interests... the others are just me trying to get folks started the right way...

But on the other hand...

There is nothing more anti-climatic than following an advanced grow, only to see the thread hijacked by some "how do I clone my seeds?" post...

But to illustrate what you said, I do tend to congregate with other members that are also doing ebb/flow SOG, as we can always discuss our techniques in the middles of casual bullshit talk....

I think it is only natural... remember high school? :bigjoint:

Here is the first true aeroponic clone running in the system. It has been doing well and this is why I have decided to drop the rockwool and go this route from now on.

LOL, yeah the whole cloning seeds thing is a pain... I hear NASA is still working hard on the atom xerox for implementation on the next Star Trek vehicle.

I think those have more to do with forum etiquette and the age of the member as well as the lack of general growing knowledge.

I just had to get that rant out, plus I was just ripped from a sample bud off a top I took a while ago.

Back to the picture show!

Everything looks really good...!!!

I am about to get some pics of my girls...

See you after a while...

And yeah.. I agree with the whole thread etiquette/age thing... you are correct...

Cheers...!!! :joint::bigjoint:

Close ups and a bit more detail and explaination...

What is left of Burnee after the top harvest. There are still a good bit of buds left to mature there.

Soil clones that I could not bring myself to kill.

Overviews...

Developing bud sites, next month they are due for harvest.

Lemon Kush time...

I fully expect this one to take a while to finish, it is looking great though, plenty of calyx production.

Thanks, I had a friend try to help me with the reservoir maintenance and they put in tap water straight from the tap along with my regular nute solution... CalMag + soft water = danger for the plants. I'm running a weak RO mix right now to try to reverse the damage.

Not to mention chlorine damage... :O

I can't wait to see the pictures!

hey dubb how tall are your clones before they go into flower? And whats your final height, if ya know yet?
I got one i flowered early, from seed, and it looks like that, mine is about 1 1/2 foot tall right now. Growing buds tight packed like that.

I like to flower with 8 nodes at around 6" tall they end up around 2 ft with one strain. The other wants to be 3 ft tall. It is not a phenotype fit for the system and the mother will produce clones for a friend's system from now on.:joint:

The good thing is this system has no where to go but up, as I finish working out the kinks in my design and feeding schedule as well as genetic selection the only thing left to do is rotate in clones when I harvest the mothers. I still have yet to run a test of a true aeroponic clone that has been vegged for a week and then placed in the system. That is the final goal.

The system is self sufficient and consuming 10-15 gallons of water a day. Good thing there is a built in RO system to keep the plants happy now.

nice.:hump:
I only have about a total of 3.5 feet for height including space for the light hood. But if i go Sog ill get a better canopy cover and have smaller growbag height.wanna stay in one gallon bags. Wanna go hydro one day but not yet.

Can't go wrong with grow bags full of perlite in a home made ebb and flow table. Cheap and super effective!

What I miss about my old Ebb & Flow was the ability to move the plants as needed. My system damages the roots to move the larger plants, that is why I chose 3" net pots. The sideways growth of the roots impairs the removal of the plants for rotation in my setup.

I am leaving RUI, I apologize for not having a final harvest and finishing the journal out the right way, my illness has progressed. I will be spending the last of my time with my family.

Reality has come to pass and I have realized that I am in no condition to keep up my system. I am on oxygen now and do not get around much. I do not have any energy and the fact that I used marijuana is limiting me from getting on a transplant list.

I have enjoyed my stay here and the company given to me from individual members.

Just for those interested in the system, I would make the chambers more modular so you could rotate the whole chamber vs. rotating the net pots damaging roots. Root damage was my largest problem. I had my centrifugal fan fall right on my system the other night and wreck everything. I do not have the time to start from clone again unfortunately. I really wanted to show the community.

On an optimum I would expect every site to produce 14-28g per site on a dried harvest, making the system capable of 504-1008g at full run.

We are going to shut the system down and my family will be moving me to a hospice. This way they are not in any legal issues over the whole deal. The gardener I hired may run the system after my family moves into a new home, he is worried about posting online though. I'll be the young gun there. This way my family is not my caregivers during the hardest of times.

I wish all of you the best, live like you were dying, and never let someone else tell you what is not possible. Where there is a will there is a way.

To those out there suffering from Hep. C, as I am, be forewarned that the liver filters out your THC and may speed scarring and cirrhosis of the liver. In the United States, if you smoke marijuana, you are 70% more likely to never make it on the transplant list. In Canada you are more likely to get the transplant because they are not ignorant about who gets health care and who doesn't.

Signing out for the last time....

Peace and love,
DubB83
