Ok check it out guys.
I have 12 sweet pink grapefruit clones, cost me $5 a pop.
They came in rockwool and had lots of roots coming out the bottom.
Transplanted them right into Fox Farm Ocean Forest with a little perlite.

Light set up is a 250w hydrofarm hps over top, and an array of CFL's around the perimeter, mixed spectrums.

Using RO'd water with a little superthrive.

Oh and if anyone has more information about this strain I would love to hear it.
I got the clones and all I was really told is that it's a clone only strain.
Mostly indica from what I can tell. But yeah if you know anything about it tell me whats up!

They were looking a little droopy after transplant but they persevered and after a week started looking a lot better!

After getting bored I put the screen up.
Cost me 10 bucks at Lowes, and there is something like 20 feet in the pack so it will be enough for a lot of grows, even though this screen should be reusable after harvest.

And then 3 days after putting the screen up, lots of growing has been done.

Added a little 70w HPS over on the right to keep the amount of HPS light balanced.
Only cost 35 bucks.

Here's the whole closet.

Really starting to fill out.
I put the plants in 24 hours of darkness on the 29th I believe, and they have been on 12/12 since.

Hmmm maybe just starting to see some hairs, looks like it won't be long before we really get going.

Nice canopy shot

I just hit them with nutes last watering, 1/4 strength of this lovely technaflora kit.

OH btw this is my watering devise.
Hooked up a long hose and fitted it to the cap of this water jug. Makes it really easy to get the plants in the back.

Here is one extra clone that I decided to keep vegging. This is what it looks like after I got 5 cuttings off of it.
No real point to it, just got bored and wanted to.

Here's the cloning set up.
I cloned once in the past and had 100% success rate.
These cuttings were taken on Wednesday, I think, and though there are no roots they look to be doing well.

And here is a strawberry cough x deep chunk clone that I got from a friend.

Just bought a new 400w lumatek with the used hydrofarm good good reflector, and a fresh bulb.

Cost me $160

BTW I lowered the light some that night, and then a little more today. Just making sure the plants are ok with the stronger light.

Comments??

How many plants are you growing? I was thinking about growing 6 with my 400w hps but it looks like you are growing like 11 or 12? Maybe I should grow more lol.

Lol dude I have 12 plants and before I was going with a 250w hps, 70w hps, and maybe 150w of cfl.
Now I got the 400 and 70 only.
The number of plants is really irrelevant, it just depends on how long you veg/how big the plant is before flowering.

I mean, I'm no expert but I think I have plenty of light right now, but if the plants were vegged a month longer then I would be way short on light cuz the plants would be way taller/bushier.

So I took the screen off of my plants.
Since I upgraded to the 400w hps light I figure it has better penetration than the 250 so I wanted to get some more light to the lower buds.
I think I created a great idea here because having the screen up to this point has created a lot of nice bud sites on the plants, and has kept a nice even canopy.
Now removing it the plants are still about the same height, but now the light can penetrate down to the lower buds easier without the screen blocking it out.

Check out this lusciousness

You should cut off the lower spindly stems,to increase air flow at the bottom, and increase top growth.

I'm definitely not a pro or anything. Just too much free time surfing the forums and reading up.
This is my 3rd or 4th grow.
I grew out 4 clones before and got like 2 ounces for my first grow.
Then did a dwc grow with 4 white widows but didn't invest in all the meters and it was really a pain to change the reservoirs so I decided to not go with them again.
Then I sorta had another grow but had mite problems and just threw everything away.

That was a few months ago. Now I'm back and pumped that this grow is going so well.

I just took this picture so I could show some of the color with the hps off.
The plants look a little droopy because they just went to sleep, but it shows of the nice color of the foliage.

So we're are about 2 weeks into flowering, buds are developing a little bit.

Do they look small for two weeks? To me it just doesn't seem like I'm going to be able to get the big buds people always have.

Trichomes are just barely starting to come in it looks like.
How do the buds look for 2 weeks?

Trust me... It'll fill out a bunch... You'll end up with quite a bit of smoke. Great job. Everything seems to be going quite well. Using c02 will add quite a bit of weight to it and the plant will generally grow more. It's still quite young and has a lot longer to grow.
