Javadog's Next Adventure

Check out the snapped stem in the second photo.

I was pretty fed up with the degree to which I had misjudged the
stretch of the breeds that I chose for this crop, and I found that
just SCing the Kosher did not work at all. The tops all jumped
right back up and shot toward the ceiling.

So, I got pretty harsh on them, and left a couple cracked right over.
They took their time in recovering, but really the end result works
for me. (I had already gone so far as to lose the pull-ups for the light
and rigged it to hang straight from the rafters)

:0)

Have a great day.

JD

P.S. I just realized that the snapped stem in photo #2 is the top in photo #1.

The smell? It begins to approach the danger level.

I do not need my dork relatives asking about the skunk smell...

I mean, maybe one got hit, ya think?!? Why else does one fucking smell a skunk?

LOL....what a tool. She knows that is up, but does not want to be told to mind
her own business.

I took the step of dumping out the old carbon from my DIY filter and refilling it with
new pellets. I attached my old fan, but WOW I forgot how loud it is. I need to build
a "soft box" for it, but might run it in the closet for an hour or two before the day
begins.

I still have three weeks. It will get worse before it stops. In fact, the couple of
days when it first dries will be insane. Once it dries and is jarred, then it will only
be when the jars are opened that I will be at risk. I have smelled my buds from the
street after shaking out a jar before.

Take care,

JD

Hey BW. Thanks for stopping in.

Just some end of week 7 fill in shots as things are quietly filling in.

The Cannaventure Mothers mix females (3 of them) and the Somango
are strong and very ready to flower:
17 CVMM.jpg

and here is Chemdog. It was already stretching and so I decided to sort of mainline it,
but I left the lower growth to take later as clones:
18 Chemdog.jpg

The Lemon Thai Kush and Blue Dream (in that order) have really
nice structure and have not needed too much training, though I did
take both of their main tops:
20 Blue Dream.jpg
19 Lemon Thai Kush.jpg

Lemon Juice Express was also a crazy grower, but I decided to just take the
main top and to wind the two new tops around their bucket:
21 Lemon Juice Express.jpg
With a month to go, we will see how far it gets.

Girl Scout Cookies is just weird, but fun...it kinda shoots off in different directions:
22 Girl Scout Cookies.jpg

The new breeds are doing well:
23 Next Generation.jpg

and the clones are rooting away:
24 Clones Rooting.jpg
(and, yeah, that one does seem to be croaking ;0)

Take care all,

JD

Looking good jd, I to feel your pain of the smell of drying...I thought for sure my landlord was going to come knock on my door when I dried some outdoor purple dream here lol. Thats the shitty thing about multi strains and perpetual is cant use the tent to dry in.

also, your gsc looks very similar to my gsc structure. Definitely a wild grower

Excited about the Lemon Juice Express. It sounds heavenly. I dig floating her two tops around the barrel to form a circle. She won't stretch out of control that way, and will totally be able to hold more weight. You're going to pull some big, citricy buds off her, man. I can tell.

Oh, I hope so. (I got back from my my team depress me again)

I think that the Blue Dream and the Lemon Thai Kush are getting
just big enough to cause me concern. ...still two weeks at least
and it depends on how big they get.

I will chop them before the flip, brutally if necessary, as I am not
going to deal with plants over four feet high, from the ground.

I laugh at myself, as I will have only one breed that I already know
in the tent, again, and really have no idea what will happen.

My pheno of Jack Herer (supposedly from Sensi) blew up so bad
that I pushed it into the corner, and will just remove it.

I am learning a lot. I have no bugs at the beginning of week #8.

Things look good.

what does your headband smell like...

Hey LK,

I wondered the same thing when I saw the budding....no idea
why this breed is wanting to do this.

It is a regular bean:
Product: Humboldt Seed Organisation Lemon Juice Express
Options: Feminized Cannabis Seeds - Pick 'n' Mix
Quantity: 1
Product Code: HUM3116
Price: £6.30
So, I suppose that the 18/6 I am using for Veg, to save $, is
not enough to stop this breed from popping.

I have more than 300W for Veg now.

The Headband smell like the Sour Kush it is. It is stinky, but
the smell is still subtle....it is odd how the kush skunk can catch
your nose. I am afraid that I can get a whiff from outside the house,
but it took many tries. I am not looking forward to a new stress!
I want to let these ladies ripen.

I took a taster of SWOG Kush tonight as it was a top that had just
gone too far anyway.

Take care,

JD

Hello all,

Yesterday I took out all the new seedlings and watered those
that needed the attention.

I meant to take photos, but, again, I forgot while taking action.

I did get these two.

Psycho Killer. Unsexed, but very lovely all the same.
IMG_2070.jpg

Trainwreck. This one is very strong as well.

That looks like fine genetics to start with LK. Your
cross looks to be worth the time.

Re the Auto: Fuck....well, I am a dunce, but I will put
it in the tent to see what happens anyway.

LOL

that pk is very lovely looking. Looks a bit more hybrid then any of mine are looking, but from what I hear the hybrid is the best pheno. What size pot is it in?

Javadog

Well-Known Member
It is only in a 6" resin pot right now.

I go from paper towel to beer cup to 6" pot to ????

When I have sexed the TGA and BB breeds, then I will
be able to talk about the crop after next.

ie. I am putting PK and TGA's Jack's Cleaner above the rest,
for the Lemon Hunt, but all of the rest are candidates.

I have Martian Kush, Sour Kush, Holy Grail Kush (finnicky ;0),
and several other known females, but I look forward to sexing
the BB Cherrys and the TGA gear very much.

Take care,

JD

Good morning team.

I took some shots on this, the first day of Week #8, right after the
lights went off this morning.

The PurpleBerry BX II is indeed the first to finish, but the pistils and bud leaves
are still short of driving me to check trichs yet. I am sure that this breed will
want all of eight weeks.
2 PBBX.jpg
(note the top in the front-right. ...it is against the backdrop of another top, so it is somewhat
camouflaged. Note the "flat-top" structure. All other tops are pointy. That one is FAT!)

The Kosher Kush is predicted to be the slowest to finish...it looks to
be right with the OG Kush and OG #18...three weeks more at the worst, I figure.
4 Kosher Kush.jpg

Headband. Beautiful big buds!
3 Headband.jpg

Skywalker OG Kush. This one is making smaller buds, but I left so many
tops that yield will be fine.
1 SWOG Kush.jpg

The amazingly beautiful "Pagoda Buds" of LA Con are too shielded by its leaves,
but take my word for it...this one rocks. The leaves are beginning to turn black.
5 LA Con.jpg

I think that I am in a place where I can ignore the ladies for a day or two...
...not that I really will....but I have some IRL crap to deal with anyway.

Take care,

JD
