Seeds can be kept for years.:)
Store them with a desiccant in the fridge or a cool dry dark place. Some folks even store them in the freezer but I have no experiance with that myself.

its a moisture absorbing agent, I got 6 yr old seeds in a film container, no deicent, that are still popping, however 13 of 14 were male and there vigor is not like they used to.

I'm sure some others can offer you long term storage ideas

I heard seeds are good for a year and 10 good for 10 years if you freeze them. I had some skunk seeds laying around and they were over a year old but I planted them anyways and they seem to be doing alright right now..

Are you familiar with that little paper packet of crystals/beads that you find in the bottom of most vitamin/medicine bottles? Those are dessicant packs (prepackaged dessicant) and are used to absorb water and humidity from the surrounding air. The best way in my opinion would be to empty a bottle of vitamins. Save the dessicant pack and cotton. Replace the vitamins with the seeds, keep the dessicant pack and use the cotton on top. That should be an awesome seed container and should serve you well... Good Luck!
