Have probably made 40 runs n everytime the finished product is the same...extremely sticky at room temp...wat am I doing wrong?

How thick is your film to begin with? Sounds like you're not evaping all of the solvent off.

I've gotten it so it isn't "super
sticky" (pliable and rollable in
fingers without much residue
sticking) but I've never been
able to get wax. I've tried using
nice bud instead of trim and still
couldn't get it to wax. Anyone
have a good method for wax they're
willing to share? Not trying to hijack
the thread, I think a way to make
wax would help op's not be so sticky
at room temp

I've also tried several types of multi
refined butanes and it hasn't seemed
to make a difference.

Are you trying for an" absolute shatter" or want something stable like "honey comb"? I like to winterize with ethyl alcohol (everclear) and until I get a better vac chamber I evaporate at normal atmosphere, scrape while its still hot and it sets to shatter.The alcohols boiling point is about 173F this way or around 115F under a -29.9hg vaccum.

I always achieved that under vaccum. I haven't tried sine winterizing, but this time of year when the sun is out and shining, I'd use it's heat to make comb. Basically keep it warm enough and under good vaccuum and it should whip itself into comb. This I just my personal experience. What's that adage I hear lately..." if it isn't shatter, it doesn't matter" and a big ol MOAL for any old GA'ers that might be lurkin.

Well I tried blasting straight in Pyrex, straight on parchment paper...letting sit for an hour or two, day or two and everything in between.

I don't have a vac pump or chamber... I put in freezer for anywhere between an hour or 2 or day or two.

I scrap in balls, put onto pp in in Pyrex dish over warm water 130 ish degrees, then back into freezer several times.

I like the potency just hate losing so much on my hands n tools..I see some of u get it where u can handle without sticking to everything.

I whip mine with a stainless probey thingy( tech manual page 132) after the freezer in a warm bath. repeat until it waxes..

I'd recommend picking up the July copy of High Times brother, it's all about dabs and BHO this month I haven't had time to read mine, but there sure are a bunch of nice pictures There is also a nice graphic at the bottom of page 56 showing the various BHO textures

Saw some thing about the new product line "Sticky No More", you may want to look into them, or like product, for your BHO handling and/or container needs.

if you dont have the money to drop on a good vacuum i have a friend that used a automotive break purger... with some alright results... or you just use the washing machine with ice and dont have to get that nasty butane out

Honestly, I've been making bho for almost 2 years and I can't get wax every time. I have found that less butane is better. Running more than one can per ounce just degrades your final product.
