Well I plugged mine 3 months ago, 4 weeks in veg and now 8 weeks and a day in flowering.

I wont be chopping them all at the same time, since they have different flowering times.

The two OG Kushes seem to be the most ready with 50% Cloudy trichomes.

Don't know how long that's gonna take to get that up to the 90% range, I'll be checking everyday until that target is reached.

My conditions are warm and somewhat dry. I'm running at 40% humidity right now.

Im pretty new to all this too but some people count days of flower from like two weeks in when flowers actually appear. I just watch tricombs which reminds me, i gotta check mine again. I think mine are close but in the last few weeks theyve really started stacking it up. I almost cut er down early, like way early, thank god for indecition sometimes :):):)

I think I'm having a heart attack, some one call the paramedics, lol.

I wonder if that's the seed companies definition of flowering, wouldn’t surprise me, they do look at least a week away.

Yep, I'll just keep checking the trichomes every day and wait for that 90% cloudy.

Had my apical leader branch snap from weight yesterday on one. I found her with an oz and a half probly laying on the ground still attached. Picked the branch off the ground and leaned it against a wall and it seemed to close right back up thank god. Hit her with about four wraps of duct tape and well see how she goes. In hindsite i should have taken a picture but i was kinda panicing when i saw it like a cheerleader that just saw a rat. Damn. Ah well, i could have worse problems than plants gettin too heavy. :):):)

[h=1]Amber Alert[/h]So you have worked hard for 8 weeks! You have invested money into equipment and possibly genetics; you have invested time and dedication to get to this point. How can you tell when it’s time to harvest your gooey girls? Well 'fire one up' and let’s take a look at the best way to be sure you’re harvesting at peak potency. This article will help you understand what happens in the final weeks, so you can harvest for the specific type of high you prefer.

Good read, thanks for sharing!
Yeah, I've read stuff like this before and was going to act accordingly with regards to the chop time of my various strains.

But seeing this come from SubCool has given me extra confidence in this approach.

Well you all know what the ladies look like by now, so just taking a close up look at them this week.

Week 9 of flowering.

So I'm pretty close to chopping time for the two OG Kush's.

I'm planning on chopping one before the other with perhaps a week gap between the two to test the above principle and see is I notice discernable difference between the two plants cut at different stages of trichome development.

I prefer a more heady active high, so I am aiming to chop the Kush's with 80% Cloudy, no Amber (hopefully).

The plants continue to mature during the drying and curing stage.

New growth in the last week, many of them have sprouted a new pointed Christmas tree top.

Watching the trichomes daily, waiting for 80% mature milky for the OG Kush.

I think they might be ready by week ten.

I'd start looking at the yellow pistils right about now bro! In the last weeks I swear the will look done then spew yellow pistils at least twice bro!
My Critical Jack did it three times before I pulled it! But I feel like when you stop seeing those yellow pistils in high numbers, the plants are nearing done.
If you look around and dew a lot of new caylxs tht look like there about to reguritate yellow pistils, just play the waiting game!
It literally seems like calyx's grow calyx's!

When you pulled you bud earlier than you should it shinks more during the dry as well.
When you let em go, they don't shrink the half bro!

Cant see hte pics in that last post btw bro.

Otherwise, everything looking RIGHT on time :joint:

Check out the 2nd to last page on my thread bro! Shows a bud from each harvest over the course of eight!
You can REALLY see the difference in the buds between the first two and last two harvested, as the first two weren't allowed to mature!

And just to keep myself amused, while I wait for the first chop day.

1 box.

1 lower pop corn stem.

And my first dry run.

Been drying for three days now, will also cure it.

I can tell you this when I checked it this morning the aroma made me feel like this, just like Music.

It smells like a mix between diesel and pineapple juice. I haven’t been getting an overwhelming smell from the tent (was getting kinda worried) but the smell from this 1 bud this morning blew my mind.
