inexpensive co2 regulators on ebay reliable?

Hi guy I'm getting in to bottled co2 because I'm running a sealed system. there are many brass co2 regulators on eBay listed for hydroponics for about $40 out of California. They seem to be the OEM models for the CAP and Titan co2 regulators but I could be wrong. Anyone have experience with these? Are they reliable? Cause I'm not trying to kill my crop with a blown reg. Thanks!

I've never bought one of them myself but I have the same attitude about all the cheap shit on eBay nowadays. If its got the same internals and made out of the same material and clames to so the same thing. It usually does. I've got ph and tds meters from china for about 8 bucks each and they work as well as a Hanna meter and look exactly the same.

Id go for it and read up on the seller history and shit first.

I saw those regulators on eBay and was wondering the same thing. They've sold a shit pile of them so somebody has to have hands on experience.

Their feedback isn't bad for the volume of products that they push. I'd assume they'd drop the regs if it was giving them a lot of negative feedback. Might bite the bullet and buy one cause for $40 I could almost buy 3 for the price of a trusted reg.

I had a cheap chinese ph pen and a cheap Ec pen. Unreliable as hell. Never again.
the Co2 reg Is prob. a diff story tho. Gas regulators use a spring and diaphragm to regulate the high pressure compressed gas into a more usable pressure. So I trust a simple mechanical device much more than I would a ph or Ec meter bc they make internal calculations and need frequent calibration.
