went to bed 2 nights ago, it was almost -20 and -35 with windchill. Last night was -12, -25 with windchill. Coldest I've ever been in was -49 with a windchill of -73!

My shovel weighs 9000# with it's bucket, 8700 with it's scoop... First snow of the year, I didn't get outta the thing for 30 hours straight, got a nice 8 hour break, and then another 18 hours. We switched to a reasonable 24 hours per driver, now.

Whats a Whinshield? Does that protect you from people who whine about the weather? All the whiny babies can suck it -25 here atm and we just split a cord of hardwood.

I love the cold. I wish it hadn't warmed up here a few weeks ago, we'd have over a foot of ice, and be still building. At least it re-froze enough to get back out and ice fish! :).

2 degrees with a -12 wind chill here. it could be worse. i remember stretches of years where it would drop below zero for weeks at a time.

the problem is that it doesn't stay the same temperature for long enough for people to adjust. today it's 2 degrees. next week the forecast says 50. supposedly studies have shown that it takes 7 days to fully acclimate to extreme temperature changes. when the weather is bipolar you never adjust. pick a fucking temperature and stick with it for fuck's sake.
