so i need some advice. all plants are doing well. tomato is doing too well, its a light hog.
acid sprouts are 10 days old.
basil is 9 days old.
tomato is 5 weeks four days old.

sprouts are small becuase of the 12 hr light cycle, but thats fine by me. i want them small. i notice growth every day

my flowering nub is 8 weeks three days old, but the bud leaves (they arent fan leaves, all those went with the decapitation) are rusting more and more. i thought it was from heavy nutes, but i havent fed nutes for the past two waterings. could it just be excess nutes still burning her? if not whats it look like?

oh and the seedling that i knocked out of the cup, and rushed the seed husk off of is bigger. go figure

Yes. And how may i ask did you grow this dwarf plant? I have never seen anything like it in all my days. You know, with all of those lights ya got.. i would grow those seedlings into some moms and fill that whole box with plants in party cups or 16 ounce containers dr.budgreengenes style

ok..so this nub was vegged for about two weeks in terrible conditions. i had two of them, two random bagseed. i had good lighting, good air flow (it was in my cellar) but i was drowning the roots its whole life, and feeding chemical nutes every other watering. i had no idea how to grow. almost ended up killing both, but saved this one some how.

then hurricane sandy came..knocked out power for a week. then after sandy, i noticed a lockout due to all the exsessive salts in soil. so after a good flushing, the plant started to finally come back (after losing half its veg).

then i dropped a shoebox on it when it was two weeks into flowering..and since that day ive been organic.

two weeks into flowering, all trimmed up and healthy after a flush: 2012-12-08_23-27-39_434.jpg464623_491884367499531_324419518_o.jpg2012-12-03_21-35-42_347%20(1).jpg

then i dropped the shoebox on it while drunk gardening -_- :2012-12-10_02-15-10_7.jpg257072_496010820420219_887971883_o.jpg

i was too intoxicated to think to just stick the head into the soil and root it as a clone..oh well.

now its just this nub. im trying to just finish it and get it out of my space, becuase i have a lot of seeds and i plant to plant new ones every 4 weeks for a s.o.g.

why is rusting like that though? its not heat, im using cfls and i have a big fan blowing directly at the bulbs, its not mold, i looked at it through the scope. could it be a deficiency like bakatare suggests? but i dont understand, becuase ive fed the plant like three times with fish emulsion at full strength since its been in flower, and it only recommends to do it once every 3-4 weeks. im just trying to use water now since its 8 weeks into flower and hopefully almost done.

the fish emulsion i use is a 2-2-2 feed, but i dont know if it has the necessary micro nutes? http://www.espoma.com/p_consumer/pdf/Gro-tone.pdf

oh and i should mention, through all that stress it turned full female. probably gonna try biothrive bloom when i finish fish emulsion

i also started my potting soil by mixing it with composted manure, bone meal, feather meal and potash before sowing seed

this is why my tomato plant is doing well. he was the first vicitm of my new good soil :fire:

because it makes my room smell like tomato lol. its taking up valuable light though, might move it near a window sill to finish up the rest of its life. and i wanna see how well i can get a tomato to taste.

i bought an assortment pack of seeds to grow this summer. figured id test out a tomato, basil and maybe a dill for now.

those seeds were a lot harder and took a lot longer to sprout vs cannabis seeds. i also have ground coffee in my grow closet that i swap out every week in hopes of keeping them smell masked.

gonna have to get a low scented phenotype next round.

does fish emulsion have micronutes as well as the standard npk? http://www.espoma.com/p_consumer/pdf/Gro-tone.pdf

it just lists n (souble and insouble amounts) p and k.

shouldnt a ground up fish have all the rest of the micro nutes needed?

may exchange it for biothrive bloom if not. i dont really need any more nitrogen.

ok ok..will do.

could my nubs leaves just be rusting just becuase its nearing the end of its life? but the trichs are not turning yet, doesnt make sense to me.

ill get another x10 of the trichs tonight during the sun period.

trousers, youre a fool. ive heard so many times that "stress will make a plant more likely to turn one sex", but obviously not, becuase this plant was stressed to hell.

i feel like its a productive thing to note.

i may also feed one of my sprouts urine and the other fish emulsion just to compare results.

He's not a fool, and what you should have gathered from reading is NOT that stress makes it turn one sex or other, but stress is likely to make it Hermie.
You got lucky is all.

and check this out. i am right about the light schedule, at least for non ruderalis. are ruderalis all feminized?

there will be more females on a 18/6 schedule vs a 20 or 24 schedule. nobody likes to work and be stressed 24 hours (besides the males :P)

who knows, maybe 20 or 24hr will be enough stress for feminizeds to hermie?
