Nice room/grow brah! We pull similar numbers off our 4000w growbut our stalks dont get that big!NICE! We veg 4-6 week depending on the flavor. 2 plants per 1000w but there are 9' ceilings so we get em big! Try Heavy Duty Fruity from TH seeds. We go through Attitude seed bank.I have pulled close to 1lb per plant under a 600w hps. Lost the flav b4 we got the new room set up.
What do you mean lost the Flav b4 we got the new room set up?

Hey whisky! Sorry been away..this are looking/look awesome..to answer your question,I have a 11x11 room with 4 600watters in aircooled hoods..no way to go open/batwing because of heat (old trailer I gutted has only my stad alone a.c...no central air)..and yes,s.o.g. is what I'm doing..between 15-20 per cycle,2 cycles every month and a half..I'm pulling a small harvest of close to 2lbs but that's not a good harvest compared to others..I should be pulling more...no co2..botanicare nutes w guano, and foxfarm big bloom and greatwhite innoc...also a little earth recharge..do you suggest I trim more and veg longer..?how long again do you veg?..if I can get 3lbs per light I could rotate per light and potentially get 3lbs every 2 weeks..oh,also,my genetis are purple haze, blackwater, fruity chronic juice, sharksbreath, pure afgan, sleestak X skunk..was doing cannadential and w.w.,and I feel that they were good as fuc* but not producing as much as they should..let me know how you think I may benifit from some of your tech...again..nice grow!!!;-)

Hitting 3lbs per light is a stretch for 1000watts bulbs, I have done it with a Critcal Mass crossed with something else I never new the exact lineage of it...but from air cooled reflectors..& not trying to hurt feelings here but I don't think it can be done with even 1000watt bulbs in aircooled reflectors. ( I also could be massively wrong idk) The only reason I have gotten close to the 3lbs per light mark is because I grew them very tall 42'' min before 12/12 and when finished flowering anywhere from 6'- 7' tall, rotated at least twice a day. vegged for 8 weeks after clone/rooting. that was 5 plants four 1000w lights. Same setup. When you grow a plant that big it will give you tons of buds. when you are only topically lighting the plant. (hanging bulbs only above the canopy) they grow for the light, so when I hang the bulbs in-between the plants they grow more robust outward not so straight up. and the bud quality is quite different on other sections of the plant. the middle where the lights are mostly is way more dense. the other spots are.....well not as dense. little to no fluff tho. but a plant that big will make tons of bud sites no matter what really, but the light you give to those buds sites will make or break your harvest. my style of growing won't fit your style if you are lighting from above. but you can grow huge plants still and up your yields. I'm going to draw something for you that is going to look very childish but I hope it helps. My buddy does it this way and he pulls some serious weight off his six 600watt setup.

Good thing art isn't my hobby!

hope this helps! idk if thats anything of what you asked or if I'm just rambling again.

Also dimensions are a little off scale, i'd have to say the plants are much bigger in comparison to the lights.

I also have copyrights to my beautiful drawings above... in case anyone wants some eight by tens framed in mahogany LMK!!

Well im glad art isnt your career.....just kidding. Great pics. Hanging lights like donkey dicks is great if you have the space. Do you have rolling pot holder platforms to turn them? How is the drainage handled or is there not much?

Whiskey as for getting seeds you should try Bomb seeds THC Bomb...heard its insane and can't wait to see it if you grow it like this....it should be massive on a regular 6-8 veg should yield close to 500 a plant but with your set up i'd say closer toa 1000g's yield per plant

Clones were taken, rooted in 10 days, topped to slow growth down, then vegged for about 2 weeks under T5 Flourecent bulbs. From there they were about 10 inches tall when I transplanted them into 25 Gal Smart Pots, Brand was actually Root Pots. From there they vegged in same room for about 7 weeks !BESIDE! four 1000watt Metal Halides, I said beside!! same room layout & fixtures. They were trained like Navy Seals:lol: for about 6 out of those 7 weeks on the 7th week they rested...lol. I only trained them low because the Sour Kush is soo wide the way it is. Next time I will be running Grape God Male x Sour Kush Female that I bred myself. I will let it grow taller. With this set up I think you will yield much more letting the plants just grow the way they like to. But I always recomend Kyle Kushmans bending & snapping techniques (you tube it) it really strenghthens them up big time to produce much bigger nuggs. Also like this they grow outward and not so much upwards, that way they spend all their energy on bud production and not on stretching for light.... sorry I'm rambling, I like to be detailed and explain my work, thats what makes me learn better...so why not share it.. I guess I could have been a dick and just said around 8 weeks....lol
Were you running the thousands at full strength or were they dimmed in veg? The part about the sideways growth and not stretching makes sence. So your noticeing less of a stretch horizontally than top light would have verticaly totalled?

Also, it looks by the picture that youve kinda hollowed the trees out. Did you cut out all the interior foliage for circulation or am i seeing things? I could be, its late lol

What do you have on top of your soil? Are those cedar chips? Why do you use whatever it is?

Thanks in advance.
Coco Croutons, or coco chips. the pot are filled with 100% coconut husks, what you see on top is the same all the way to the bottom. it's called passive hydroponics. Basically all the benefits of hydroponics with out the headaches of pumps and water chillers, and timers.

Yep I made the platforms, turned twice a day,....sometimes three if I get the urge. Drainage is handled with a shop-vac.

Is there holes in the platforms too?

I hate vacuming but i think i wouldnt mind vacuming for those girls.

how often do these passive hydro monsters need to be watered in a day? God theyre nice lookin.

Dimmed a bit while they were very young...But I like to crank the voltage baby!!Oh yah!..lol Yes if I hang the lights higher they grow taller. I hang them about 3/4 the way up the plant and keep raising it as they grow keeping it at about 1/2 - 3/4. I move the lights all the time. Just to hit different angles inside the plants. Keeps the plant more uniform.

That helps whiskey,I have an extra 1000watt ballast and light and gonna experiment and hang it in middle of the room..I've seen this method for vert growing..my prob is I don't have ceilings that high but will get this worked around..thanks for the extra advice..I'm gonna save a few ladies to gro extra big this cycle so ony 15 go in next cycle and ill let ya know how this go.btw, can I pay for ur art if u pay for my extra eletric ;-)

Sorry to ask the same question twice but as far as the stretching is concerned. I would guess that even side illumination would cause stretch to some degree, not vertical but horizontal. Is it the same stretch that you would see vertically in a horizontal direction or is it lessened by more side branches so less total side stretch?

What are your thoughts on a light mover in this situation..I.e..a stationary bulb and two on a mover going across the the length of the garden..my last grow had a light rail 5 w/ all 4 600s moving abou 16ft..yeild was awesome..thinking about using a hybrid of a 1000 watt naked bulb hanging in center of room with a light rail pulling two 600 watters back and forth, just can't seen to figure out how unless I have a loonnnnggg cord for the center bulb (will be snagged by mover arms)I think this would be a very benefical setup using a longer veg period..any input or criticisim is welcom

Light movers overhead with two rails would be awsome. If the box can take it.

Hey I was wondering if you ever re use it soil to start seedlings in or anything I did with a batch of autos I ordered and there a little droopy the last auto I did I stuck it in a cup of. Re used soil and it seemed like it was always drooping like root rought so I was thinking maney the dead roots in the re used soil could have started the problem but they always get transplanted into big pots with fresh soil
