IMO, there are a lot of cool sites out there and i quite often frequent some. BUT, i call RIU home because this is where i got some actual help in my first 3 grows. There were sites with more info, more members, more "google" hits, etc. But i caught hell from most everyone on those sites because i had lots of basic questions and more complex ones (often theoretical).
In the end, i grew good bud following info from here and while i won't say this is the best site for growers i DO feel it is a community. A somewhat FRACTURED community right now, but a community nonetheless. And so i try to support it as best i can.
In the end, you'll make new friends on the new site(s) (and possibly run into some from here), but i hope you keep RIU active in your browser and don't go flaming out and getting banned.

The site I'm at has a small amount of members but they actually help each other. Here, I've asked for help plenty of times only to be trolled or have my question ignored. RIU sucks in the help department. On top of that, there's all this dumb arguing that goes on here. You know what goes on at the other site? Members give out spore prints and cannabis seeds. Personally, the other site makes this one look horrible.. But that's my opinion. As for my dickishness, I only serve it for people that mess with me.. It's better to burn out than to fade away lol. I don't think you would see a donation thread for a busted member at those other sites. Everyone take a break from here for a few weeks. Get some perspective. This place has some good peeps, some very funny ones, and some down right carnival freaks. Add some solid bud and this place beats the swill on tv anytime.

Hell yeah they would at the site I go to.. Like I said, people really go out of their way to help people.. I'm not talking just answering a question, I'm talking about setting people up with equipment, seeds, and spores. there's only a couple of people so everybody helps each other out alot.
There are some cool members here though (you being one of them) but I don't really get help here nor can I go a day of posting without somebody jump on my ass.. Now I'm just bitching lol.
