scrapped the worst of the bunch, I just don't have it in me to deal with all these damn problems, and I never know wtf is wrong or how to fix it, I have the seedlings, I am just going to basically ignore them, give them a bit of water every 3 days or so...I have put SOO MUCH into these plants, just to have everything go south on me..over and over again.
was reading you should soak seeds in h20 and mild bleach that many seeds have fungus on em, this is so great, I'm out like 30-40 seeds..and very verrrry pissed off at myself for NOT being able to figure out whats wrong..shit put me on a peice of dirt and I can have big beautiful bounties of veggies, but I can't grow a freaking weed!!!!!
So outside of a few seedlings I have that haven't died yet, that's all for this show..The girl can't grow, Icannibis, luna is doing ok, her 1st set of leaves have a tiny bit of this discoloration every other one had so I don't know..have several that were popping out of the soil 2 days ago and still haven't yet (after the power outtage)so they are probably stunted now, too. I'm not putting anymore energy into this, I don't have it...not right now anyway.
The bugs I am finding in that room, 1st it was the gnats, then carpenter (BIGG) ants, today 3 daddy long legs, don't know why they are all going into that room, but it's getting frustrating.I had carpenter ants on my clothes after being in there messing around 20 minutes, it's like a flippin Alfred Hitchcock movie, I swear Ive never seen so many bugs in my house.I have to start thinking on where the hell I am going to move in a month(6 weeks), maybe once I am settled in and have my hydro brain back I will try this again..maybe I will just get a damn caregiver to grow for me..someone that knows what the hell they are doing..

it's I know not the best solution but some of this soil only had a plant in it for a week or two, Ive read if u bake it at 400 for like 15 min it kills anything bad that may be in it?
Looks like I'mma be Betty crocker tonight..I have 5 and 7 gal empty pots of soil I don't wanna ditch it so I am going to cook the bad and evil right out of it...then I will have a place for my seedlings that are still trying to break ground that are in peat pots (with some soil/perlite mixed in the little nets)
May as well try to get use out of it, I have already filled all my flowering beds I made with great soil..don't want to give the landlord anything else, you know...

so I baked enough to fill the smaller (starter) pots, baked for like an hour..for good measure in case I had some bad fungus or whatever in there...put the white widow seedling in there...they seem to like it, they finished popping thru soil overnight..one of the northern lights seedlings has puney leaves(1st leaves) guess that can be from the cold, also.
I've decided to go with the seedlings already sprouting and give it another go, I'm a stubborn bitch at times. My gymnastics coach mannnny moons ago taught me to NOT give up..damn him! LOL
Will post pics of all that are left...though now the romulan grapefruit is getting those brown spots on older fan leafs...should I flush...or what? It had 1 dose of bloom nutes as the others did and then started this going south (well, that and 10 hrs of 40-45 degree temps)

Ok, since I pulled all the dying plants, I figured I'd do autopsies..or whatever. Checked roots...roots in all repotted pots (2 weeks ago) had long white roots all the way down to the bottom(I layered in some marine cuisine powder fert 2-3 Tbs scattered over the bottom inch or so of the pots, and from the looks of it, the roots went a searching for it)) and even wrapping around a bit....no sign of any root borne bugs..checked..looked over the foliage again...nada.It isn't the marine cuisine b/c I didn't give any to the romulan grapefruit, and it has some older fan leaves I have pulled that were brown n crunchy, too.
I read read and read some more and decided the best coarse of action was to flush it...so I flushed it with 3x the pot amt in water PH 7.02.
Then I put more holes in the bottom of the biggest size pot I have and even added some holes in the sides for good measure and more o2.(for mums) filled about 4 " with hydroton, then I put the thoroughly baked soil in to the 1/2 way mark, then held pot sideways and slipped the rootball out, it has big white healthy roots all over the place, and I don't think I even broke 1 I was so smooth.
Then I backfilled with the now sterile soil, and am going to try something different...so I watered with plain h2o, but from the bottom, it soaked it right up...Decided since she clones so easily shes now a mum.
The white widow seeds are all popped and above (sterilized) soil, though quite a few of these seeds, I just dont know, the 1st set of leaves are sooo tiny, I'm not sure if they are mutants.
I have 2 fem Northern lights that have taken off now pretty nicely, a fem bubblelicious and 2 fem NYCD's. The 5-6 white widows have puney 1st leaves, I mean...smaller than the cotyledons? Is that a strain thing or did the freeze ruin em? Guess I watch and see.
Also on the house hunt front..my first call I found the perfect place, the owner is also a MMJ patient, so is ok with it, and there is already a 10x12 shed w/ electricity!!!
Plus a garage..huge lot, lots of privacy. Hopefully will cement the deal tomorrow (I don't really need to see the house, lol..so long as there is room!!)
*fingers crossed*
also I decided what the hell and tossed the 10 THC snow seeds I finally got yesterday in water, they sunk in 2-3 hrs, could it be this company has good seeds, we shall see!
I think the thc snow is a newer strain(maybe the seeds haven't had time to sit around like the others may have)
...a 3 way hybrid of big budxTHC bombxwhite russian, says has massssive yield potential, am hoping for 5 females (am doing some tricks to see if it works to lean heavier on females)soooo they are all snuggled up in a wet paper filter in a baggie on warmth, heres to hoping I have a bunch popped in the morning.
I am posting the romulan leafs brown crap, throw some ideas my way, please...
also..the clones I did are rooted very well, just starting to grow a bit, it's been over a week and the upper growth looks like it's getting a bit of interveinal chlorosis..yet have some tip burn...what should I feed them???? I was thinking to try like a 250 ppm of just the FF big bloom, cause it's organic and its only 0.01/0.3/0.7 and slowwwly work up?
anyone think that's too high? Their mums were getting 850-1000 and they are theoretically the same age, right?

she is doing quite well! I need to find my way back to the page/journal I started for her arrival...I took it off my sig when the other plants were toasted..she got watered today for the first time since germination and man was she thirsty, think she grew 1/2 since 3 pm!
Question...when a seedling has stretch, do you usually just bury it deeper(don't mean disturb roots, just add more soil)? That is what I have been doing, on on my "autopsies"..I observed that extra inch or more I bury them deeper when they stretch just gives em more rooting area and roots..just want to see if that is the usual thing to do. I have a lot of clones and seedlings going so it is PACKED under my 4' HO (8 bulb, alt. red/blue)T-5.
I put luna in a 4 gal pot, made 1/2 inch holes about every 4-5 inches all the way around close to center, think that was how ya explained it..I will go snap a pic of her now and post it w/ the ones I took at like 3 am (stayed up all night disinfecting/cleaning the garden room)I was finding MASS amounts of large carpenter ants, to the point they were even getting on me when I was on my knees messing with the plants (have been LST'ing the heck out of that romulan GF clone/mum)I looked everywhere for info to see if they eat plant foliage, but got mixed opinions, many saying they just eat rotting wood, and a slew of daddy long legs spiders lately have made my garden residence, so I went to my hydro store...again...ended up with all those to choose from, I selected safer insect killing soap, omri listed with seaweed extract( which I have read is very good for giving seedlings an explosive start, not that it would be the same in a soap vehicle,so I decided not to spray the seedlings, just the 1 mum(tried it on a few fan leaves and 1 new growth area, just in case she doesn't like it) and the clones got a quick mist of it....I still need to research this crap some more as the ingredients listed are"potassium salts of fatty acids 2%, and "other 98%, think it would be wise to find out what other is before I get aggressive with it, I mainly prayed the perimeter of the room, behind tables etc.
Can you give me an idea of what ya think is going on with the leafage I posted? That is what the rest did b4 they shriveled and got crunchy, I have pulled like 8 leafs from the romulan, the one I posted is still on as I wont pull it till its over 1/2 destroyed.
Any input would be greatly appreciated..
Good news too, got the house with a room all ready (building) for me to grow in, it's a shop, but still attached to the house, and the new landlord is also a mmj patient so we discussed trying a grow together since he has some experience growing and he is going to put the "hobby shop" on it's own circuit board or whatever for me,and he's installing the ventilation, insulation and sheet-rock, can't beat that! so I'm pretty stoked with that idea...all that space, I need it to store all my nutes!!!! (haha)
damn sorry for rambling, I'm high as a damn kite, he has some pretty dank buds and we chatted for hours, turns out he is someone I met and went on 1 date with last year when I was on a dating site LOL. very small world, and even though I didn't have 1st last dep..etc...he's very kicked back on taking off for my cleaning/improving the place, so sounds like things are working out, for a change..oh he said he wanted to rent to me because out of all the calls he had on the house, I came right out and told him I'm a mmj patient and would he object to my growing, crazy shit that he has a card, too, didn't even know that, but he said that level of honesty was a good quality in a tenant, (probably bordering on stupidity)but that's why i got it, lol.
So I'm going to have a real, proper serious grow room after the 3rd, yehaw! I'm so stoked..he also just grows it, said he learned a lot about the plant and different strains (the one who keep killing plants) from me (technical textbook type stuff, not common sense)
He's grown for years, never uses meters of any kind, lol...so I'm gonna learn the KIS method, in person! which is actually how I learn best, hands on..
ok I'm shuttin up now and snapping some pics of the pot and what I did and of luna...can u tell me if ya think I should give up on the seedlings that got red on their root from my power outtage, I mean can they actually recover from that, their 1st set of leaves are soo puney, the cotys are twice the size...so not sure what to think, it's all the white widows, so I don't know if its more sativa and just has narrower leaves, or what..would love your opinion!

I think it looks pretty healthy, could be a bit darker green, is it being fed yet or living off nutes in the medium?
Looks as if she is working on her 4th set of leafs? I think from everything I have read that is generally when folks start giving them a low ppm nute, work it up slowly, if any tip burns, back up a bit...
I have one on it's 3rd set, but was getting very light green new growth, I gave her a mist with 200 ppm of organic nute, and just added about 1/4 cup of it around the roots with NPK %'s all under 1(foxfarm big bloom, in spite of it's name it's a vegging nute, pretty good stuff now that I have figured out how to use it properly, then when they need a higher amount I start adding a few drops of grow big until the ppms go up by only 75-100 at a time, if she does ok and no ill effects, next time she gets watered I go up another 100...this having a ppm meter realllly makes a difference, didn't realize it, but b4 I was frying them with what the manufacturers "suggest" using))..I use 1 cap ful in a quart and she greened right up within a couple days.
Hope that helps since my thread lost it's pulse..

My update...My romulan grapefruit "mum" is doing well, putting on quite a bit of new foliage since I nabbed her of 8 clones, still has spots posted, but whatever it was, it isn't spreading nor getting worse, and all of her new growth is nice soft and straight again! YAY!
I have quite a few almost 2 week plants, some one week plants and some I germed and planted in their cups yesterday am, (10 THC snow..hoping for 5 girls)) I germed on the 29th,popped and 7 were rooting within 24 hrs, 7 are up and have cotys and tiny 1st leaves,3 are slower and just barely have cracks in seeds tonight, decided on another "experiment" so I bought a bag of sunshine advanced #4, with coir and mychorrhizae(sp?) what a difference, but I think it's also a newer strain, so the seeds were fresher.
It is a very light fluffy mixture, in a compacted bail of 2 cf, when "fluffed up" you end up with like 4 cf..I like it a lot.
And on the bag it says it has no "ferts" but will sustain the seedlings for 7 days, easy breasy..:-)
Been busy with doc apts, and surgical consults, will post pics of all my ladies tomorrow...to whomever may be reading, lol...

Pic updates...one bubblelicious clone is vegging so nicely mistook her for a plant from seed, till I noticed the thickness of the stem and 1 unhealthy leaf from the cloning process.
All the white widows that were stunted from the 8-9 hrs at 40 ish degrees are growing again and doing well..and 6 of the thc snow are up out of soil after 24 hrs, 3 are still in wet paper..not sure if they will pop but giving them more time
pics..

you don't need to water those clones...the rockwool is too wet...you need to dome clones and leave them alone...the only water they need is on the inside of the dome till roots are coming out of the cubes...and then go to vegging and need 250 ppm to survive in hydro or if you put them in soil and water till there on there 8" inches tall...if your adding any kinda carbo product ants love simple sugars and will come an feast...you did a good job on the pot you'll see roots come out of those hole soon...then you can flower that plant...on the light green larger plant you need to cheak the ph of the run off if it's in the 6 range add a little nutrient 250-300 ppm of the veg nutrient...if it's lower ph than 6.0 tell me I'll tell you what to ph the water to...the big bud seems to being doing well keep an eye on the ph of the run off if it falls below 6 tell me if it's higher than 6 ph the water down a 1/2 a point of whatthe run off is the next water till you reach 6.5...you need to check the soil ph of all the plants and post it will make this alot easier for me to help...I think because you add alot of stuff to your soil it's jack your pH up and causing all these problems in the dirt...I'm glade Luna is doing well she'll start to grow like crazy soon...if you're use fluorescent you need to get the light to about 6 inches from the tops of all you plants...well good growing and update me on the ph of all the plants
