Media Bias

So, watching this last debate we saw Newt Gingrich go ape shit on the moderator for a question about his hypocritical behavior and cry media bias. Of course, the real issue with Newt is not that he was cheating on his wife while she had cancer or that he asked her for an "open marriage ". The real issue is that he did these things at the same time he was publicly criticizing President Clinton for his infidelity and leading the charge to have him impeached. Newt's infidelity isn't the issue, his hypocritical behavior regarding moral issues is. The only media bias I have seen has been toward Ron Paul. They act like the guy doesn't exist on the left because they fear he can steal enough of the young energetic vote from Obama to actually win. They act like Ron Paul doesn't exist on the right because he supports personal liberty and doesn't sell out to Wall St. Money. That is the media bias I have witnessed and Newt's hypocritical behavior IS an issue regardless of the spin he tried to put on it. Ron Paul is the only republican worth considering and its time the media gave him some attention.

i think that the media and public at large consider Paul to be a kook and a hippie basically - he will never have the support needed to be pres.. his views are too radical for GOP business as usual..

Look guys this really really is a politics forum thread.

Is there are reason for irritating me?

Legalization is not Newt or any other Politician. I mean you have to be smart enough to understand that right?

it is true that is Ron were president then he could do some things about pot - but, that is not enough for me to elect him...

Even if he doesn't get elected he will carry enough delegates to have some influence. Someone will need his supporters if they hope to unseat Obama and he can use that to get some of his ideas on the big stage.

suppose ronald the millionaire could energize enough people to take back NC, VA, NH, IA, NV, NM, CO, and OH, reducing obama to kerry's map.

ron paul CAN NOT win florida with his stance on israel/iran. this is evidenced by his underwhelming performance there, not even cracking 10% in the primary against frothy, adulterous, flip-floppers. kerry's map +florida = 271, 4 more years for obama.

how does this not register with ron paul worshippers?

I don't know about Paul not winning Florida, his stance on Cuba will definately help him with the Latino vote. I like Obama and if anyone other than Paul gets the GOP nomination I will vote for him. I just like Ron Paul and the numbers show he does better against Obama then the rest of the field. The bias continued last night during the debate when they continued to cater to Newt and Mitt. By the way, the poll I saw had Paul at 13% in Florida.

Its not just about pot. Would I like to see the war on drugs ended ? Absolutely. I would also like to see the foreign wars ended and power restored to the states. The fact is he makes more sense thank the rest of the GOP field on ALL the issues. I have always voted democrat but Ron Paul would get my vote and if he isn't nominated then its four more years for Obama as far as I'm concerned.

What else is the media hiding? They've got the balls to tell us the sky isn't blue, imagine what isn't so obvious. That's why the tv waves the trendy wand all over the place to make us brainless consumer slaves..

The gop will never give ron paul the republican nomination. Please get this through your head
I'm not an idiot, I realize you are most likely right. There is no way any of the other candidates beat Obama because independents and young voters won't rally behind any of the other candidates.

Yes, because what Newt did in his private bedroom over a decade ago should lead the debate as a question...

It is media bias, clearly.

Newt cheating was not the issue. His hypocrisy is the issue. He went after Clinton for adultery at the same time he was cheating on his wife who had cancer. The fact is hypocritical politicians are the worst. Not to mention his policies are terrible. Fuck Newt

its relative to his morals, decision making process and who he claims to be, or the way he wants to be portrayed . . . . someones ability to be honest Ernest and truthful is definitely a starting point to any debate when the debate is about the candidates and there views on life, and all the other crap

when is the mass ignoring of NLXSK1 happening, or did i miss the memo

reading NLXSK1 posts makes loss hope that all this Big brother BS will go away some day

Newt went after Clinton for adultery originally. The impeachment came after he lied to congress but Newt was going after him before that. He is a hypocritical George Bush clone. Fuck Newt.
